A University of Georgia student was seriously injured on Saturday night when she fell out of a window.

Jumping up and down like a pogo stick or moshing perhaps, dancing is doubtful.
It’s 32 feet per second- per second - I used 75 feet since the top of the 8th floor would be 80 feet or so, which I cut down to 75 feet - velocity would have been about 47.5 mph....perhaps the deck was wood and gave a bit.

And we’re supposed to believe that Lindsay Clancy’s theatrical “suicide attempt” from a 2ND FLOOR WINDOW was sincere.

Ironically, if she was drunk, it probably helped. When I was young, we were at a party at a construction site (don’t ask . . . .) and a young woman walked out a door with no stairs on the other side and fell about three stories and landed flat on her ass. She was drunk. She laughed, got up, and came back into the party.

“Sofaphobia” sounds right. The internet offers “lechophobia,” also “cathedraphobia,” fear of chairs, “epiplaphobia,” fear of furniture and simple “couchophobia.”
But wouldn’t she be just as afraid of windows, dancing, and 8th floors?
Speaking of corrupting the language, what do you call it when someone uses a w and a slash instead of spelling out the word “with”. It only saves the typing of two characters. For people who read phonetically it says wuh slash. It is so easy to write full words.
