Uthmeier’s Office of Parental Rights wrote in a letter on Monday that Ballard “routinely discusses political topics” and that the student told her his parents “expressly forbid” him from those debates.
The letter states Ballard "harassed, disparaged and deliberately tried to ‘cancel’ an eighth-grade student for his conservative views."
I sent a letter to Sarasota Schools after a Pine View teacher allegedly labeled an 8th grader a “misogynist” based on his political affiliation, ignored his parents’ wishes, and disparaged the child’s father.

Despite the parents' request, Ballard allegedly kept putting him up as “the conservative perspective in the classroom,” the letter says, and “pressured him to defend political positions on demand in front of his classmates.”
Uthmeier says that Ballard called the boy a misogynist, “spread this label around the school, and openly questioned the suitability and influence of the student’s father.”
He called the targeted harassment “the reputational destruction of a child” and said it would violate Florida law, board policy, and at least six principles of professional conduct.
Multiple parents had already opened HR files on her, Uthmeier wrote.

When I read that article a few hours ago, everyone mentioned, who is not of minor age, had their photo displayed, except for the teacher in question.
Is she being protected b/c of her race?
Is she even a ‘she’?
The teacher is bullying this student.
The parents need legal representation and sue that pos into oblivion.

Actually, I don’t get why this wasn’t handled from within, the principal or administrator of the school district should have weeded this troubled teacher out immediately, or at least put the student in question in a different teacher’s class. Why did the state AG have to get involved?

I suspect she is anything but stupid. That overlooks the calculated malice of her agenda. She knows exactly what she’s doing.

Reminds me of a story (believe it was shared here) about somebody saying that they did a book report while attending junior high in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the 1960s based on J. Evetts Haley’s A Texan Looks at Lyndon. The teacher apparently sent him to the principal’s office, whereupon the principal called the parents to express their concerns about such a book being presented, lol.
When I was in my early 20’s, I was in a hotel room on a layover and watched CNN for the first time. They were going to a commercial and and said they were going to have a guy on to discuss something going on and then said that they also were going to have a man with a Conservative opinion on it.
What struck me was that the first guy, obviously a democrat, was presented as the normal opinion and the Conservative man was presented as the ‘odd’ opinion.
That was when I was first taking note of politics and recognized propaganda from an obvious left leaning news org that wasn’t unbiased.
