A woke activist who branded herself as a black Palestinian crusader has apologized after being exposed as a white Jewish woman.
Hannah Gann, 34, a teacher with the Philadelphia School District, rose to prominence as an outspoken Palestinian-American activist who campaigned in the aftermath of the October 7 terrorist attacks on Israel.
She allegedly used makeup to darken her skin, appeared to alter her accent, and donned keffiyeh scarves at protests as she railed against racism and Zionism in demonstrations across Philadelphia.
But Gann has now been revealed to have lied about her identity for years, as she admitted she is 'a white woman of significant privilege and wealth' who has family in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
Gann's true background was first revealed by the Racial Justice Organizing Committee and Philly Educators for Palestine, two groups that Gann had been a visible member of.
The groups said their members met with Gann last week and 'questioned her about her background,' and she 'finally admitted' she is a 'white woman of Jewish heritage and an Israeli settler family.'
The groups said they were 'stunned, saddened and angered by this betrayal,' and said Gann had been permanently booted out of their activist organizations.
Gann took to Instagram to apologize after her race-faking was exposed, admitting she 'hid the truth or outright lied about my background to everyone in my life.'

The larger point is there is way too much focus in the US on identity as opposed to character. That applies to sex and race.
How do you score negative virtue points? It is a powerful dopamine for women.

...She said in her apology video that she kept her true identity hidden even from her closest friends, as she pretended to be Palestinian to bolster her left-wing activist credentials.
'There is not a single person on this planet, no friend, no fellow organizer, no one in my family, no professional connection, no secret op or handler who knew what I was doing,' she said.
'I hid my family’s background from everyone in Philly and also hid from the people in my own family what I was doing.'
She certainly was good at keeping herself to herself; like she'd been trained.
