I just started the first two episodes last night.
I watched the first couple seasons a while back and was very impressed with the quality of the acting and the story lines. I was also impressed with how they were able to differentiate between the political tensions and dynamics and the everyday guy on the street feeling.
Highly recommended. Especially for those that need a more in depth understanding of the dynamics happening over there.

Haven’t watched it, but having lived elsewhere in Asia, I assume most of the television drama produced by state-run Arab regimes is formulaic, propagandistic, low-budget and dull
I also imagine Arabs will keep the local-media TV schlock on the background, but many will be attracted to a drama with genuine, complicated and deep characters, real emotion, believable story lines and well-written dialogue - even if it is about “the enemy.”
Ditto. And the Muhammadans aren't exactly portrayed in a favorable light.
It's not the best show of that sort I've come across but, considering the source, it's pretty respectable.
And there's NOTHING "WOKE" about it, which is unusual in this day and age. I used to watch A LOT of dramatic stuff from the BBC but now they tip you off in the first 90 seconds that it's WOKE preaching, and I switch it off immediately.
Israeli leadership usually comes from their combat veterans who have proven their grit and character as young men in terrible situations. Wonder if Fauda will explore a troubling phenomena now happening in Israel. Many of these soldiers and future leaders have experienced prolonged deployments and bloody combat. As in America many of these soldiers are experiencing significant PTSD. Soon this will affect Israeli culture in many ways that heretofore was not common..
Episode 7 was really hard to watch. Well done, but gut wrenching..
Is it popular because it shows Jews being raped, tortured and butchered?
We have enjoyed Fauda and just finished the latest season.
It’s worth a watch, if you are willing to pay for Netflix for awhile.
