WASHINGTON — President Trump announced Friday that all 50 states along with Puerto Rico and DC have opted into his “most favored nations’’ drug-price initiative to lower prescription costs for Medicaid recipients.
The president strong-armed 26 major pharmaceutical companies into enacting the special drug pricing for federal agencies to match the rates paid in eight other high-income nations, including Canada, Germany, Japan and the UK.
“They all succumbed to the dollar,” Trump said of the US states and others who have now joined what he called his “GENEROUS” initiative, passing along the cost saving to state-administered Medicaid programs covering roughly 70 million Americans.
“This will save states billions and billions of dollars per year on drugs and allow them to invest those savings in providing better healthcare and higher quality service for the American people,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “I mean, this one thing alone should win us the midterm.
“Many left-wing critics predicted that the states would not participate in our most favored nation initiative, and some of the blue states tried not to, but they couldn’t help it when you’re getting your drugs for 70, 80, 90% less.”
Trump cited a White House Council Economic Advisers estimate that states would save Medicaid $64 billion over the next 10 years.
The White House estimates that the broader MFN initiative will save the government $529 billion over a decade.
Big Pharma also agreed to offer discounts for certain drugs for Americans without insurance on the new “TrumpRx” platform.

Medicaid patients don’t pay for the medications. The state programs pay. So they weren’t complaining anyway.
It is Medicare and all the other patients that have to pay. Medicare patients get some discounts but still can pay a good price for many of these drugs.
Some people can’t afford the prices at all. Some people can’t even afford a doctor visit.

The national debt likely be about $42 TRILLION by the end of the year.

Trump should announce that the FDA will not approve any new drugs unless they can be purchased for $100 or less, cash price for a 30 day prescription.

You can order a whole years of meds for less than one month's cost. The quality has always been exacting. Statins, cardiac meds, antibiotics, anti inflammatory steroids like Predisone, Tamiflu, Keterolac, anxiety meds (popular with the ladies), and just about anything you can think of. It's the exact same stuff that India toll manufacturers for big pharma and sends to the US in 2,000 pound tote sacks or converted into finished pill product blister packs.
Just no schedule 1 or 2 drugs.
Liberals will say Blue states lowered the prices. Anything but giving Trump credit.

You must keep control of your medical services. The entire system of the past 75 years was meant to make you numb to that responsibility and rob you blind. Talk to your doctor. Ask for less expensive, yet just as effective RX's. They actually appreciate the conversations.
Your doctor transmits your scrip right to Amazon.
How do they do that?
Same way they transmit it to your local pharmacy, like Walgreens, etc....Amazon Pharmacy is just a giant pharmacy that ships regionally. Let me post a link.

My M D sends my drugs to me. Both of them. My insurance company pays for them.
Last week, I had blood drawn to see whether I still need them. Insurance company wanted to know. Apparently I still need them. Big sigh. I HATE Big Pharma.
My MD thinks it;s bullschtein, but he’s caught in the system. Great doc who told me I looked too healthy to get a covid shot.

Community Health Plan in the state of Washington has vey generous benefits. I take two prescription drugs and my MD sends them to me. I don’t pay, my insurance does. I have United this year.
My very smart MD also prescribes a handful of vitamins, making them deductible medical expenses. They print my annual “Extended Prescription List “in case there’s any question
