We’re not copying their design for more sales. It’s a “tribute”.

LOL…”inspiration” now means “knock-off”?

Back in the early 60’s I regularly attended the SCCA races at Danville VA.
Corvettes, the prized American sports car performed miserably. They couldn’t stay on the track. The Shelby Cobra always beat them. Even some Brit Class C’s beat them simply because at speeds required to beat the Shelby’s the corvettes lost it on the curves.
Alas..... My Diesel Sprinter is parked and the battery has run down while diesel fuel is priced at $5.65 at the spanking new reduced price Walmart gas station.

That’s a sharp looking car. It really takes after the 56 Corvette.

They need to lose the white side paint and the chrome, including the rims, like some of the other GM retro concept cars.

Wheels and curves make it look sharp. Not sure they can squeeze a v-8 under the hood.

It combines one of the most beautiful cars and one of the best drivers and Japanese reliability. Mazda should consider doing something similar in the US.

Peter Max, the artist who passed away recently, bought 20 Corvettes for an art project. The project didn’t materialize, so he auctioned them off and gave the money to veterans.

How about somebody make a retro that has a carb and a distributer, and none of the endless sensors and computer trash?

I like that car! I can't really say that a 4-banger would makee a great sports car (unless it was a Morgan 4/4) but that styling really captures the very classic look of the prettiest 'Vette - without the "turn the steering wheel 10-15 degrees before anything happens" steering, indifferent/weak brakes, and "floaty" suspension.
I won't get one because few things are more pathetic than a sexy, ego car being driven by an old guy.

The Original Miata was a copy of a European sports car, the Lotus Elan (like Emma Peel drove in the original ‘Avengers’ TV series). Colin Chapman’s nimbleness combined with Japanese reliability.
The Miata and the Honda S2000 are the two most trouble-free pure sports cars ever built. The current MX-5’s 4-pot is more powerful than either of the straight-6s in the early Vettes, and 2026 safety equipment and all it weighs more than 400 lbs less than the ‘53 Vette.

I don't know, the front end resembles more like the 58 T-bird
