Seven men have been arrested after four men were stabbed amid reports of a 'machete-wielding gang' running through Bromley High Street today.
Emergency services attended the scene at around 2.15pm and found four men who had been stabbed.
All four were rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, with three being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. One remains in critical condition.
The high street is currently closed both ways, from Ringers Road to Ethelbert Road, with a police cordon in place.
The seven men arrested remain in custody. Police said there is not currently believed to be any wider threat to the public.
An air ambulance, the London Fire Brigade and the Met Police were dispatched to the incident.
Bromley is one of the largest boroughs in the capital city and is known for its sprawling green spaces and is generally considered a middle-class area.
It is also ranked among the top 10 safest boroughs in the capital city with 67 per 1,000 people, CrimeRate reported.
Earlier this year, data also revealed it was the most expensive area in southeast London to buy a property.

I think they would have tried to ward off the attack. Just like some idiot asked during a court trial where one knife attacker was shot - the DAQ of the trial, the defendant was asked, why didn’t you wait until you were stabbed before shooting the knife attacker?

I am distressed by all the negative comments here. In some cultures, hacking someone to death with a machete is as natural as an old Englishman ordering Earl Grey tea.
All cultures are equal. So let’s respect the differences okay?
