🚨 BREAKING: Stephen Miller announces the Trump administration and Sec. Scott Bessent are moving to DE-BANK illegal aliens, making it UNBEARABLE to stay in America
BASED 🔥🔥
"Once illegal aliens lose their access to capital, that is going to be a MAJOR driver of self deportation!"
"We are NOT going to allow illegal aliens to use banking services in this country. You know, contrary to popular perception, the stupid phrase about 'illegal aliens living in the shadows.' Illegal aliens DON'T live in the shadows! Illegal aliens have credit cards."
"They have bank accounts and their paid with direct deposit."
"So illegal aliens fully participate in the commercial systems, the financial systems of America — shutting that down is a MASSIVE engine for deportation."
"The Treasury Department just issued new guidance to financial institutions to banks."
"The next step in this process is us meeting individually with banks and financial institutions on cooperating with us to remove the illegal aliens from the banking system.

They do that in Walmart.................
I never wrote that the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 contained any provision for the acceptance of the Mexican Matricula Consular card as valid ID for banking in the USA.
What you posted was AI nonsense, showing that you didn't do even a modicum of research on your own.
What I wrote was that Congress sent to Bush's Treasury Dept., a request for clarification about the rules they were going to implement.
As the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 specifies is that the agencies responsible banking regulations establish the rules under which foreign nationals could obtain access to US banking services.
Bush's Treasury responded with what I quoted. (scroll down to footnote 17, then come back and tell me I'm wrong)
Me too! That's how you put a stop to this crap. They used to bust the employers but stopped over time.
Yes, and most older ones go back to Mexico because their social security money goes further there. They even get their checks sent to them down there by their kids who are still here. No one checks to see if they’re actually still living here or not.
“They did it to Trump and his family. Karma.”
Firearms Manufacturers and Dealers: Federal firearms licensees legally operating under federal law have frequently lost banking privileges.
Energy Companies: Fossil fuel producers, including coal and natural gas companies, have faced reduced financial services.
Religious Nonprofits: Organizations such as Sam Brownback’s National Committee for Religious Freedom and other faith-based charities have reported sudden account closures.
Other Disfavored Sectors: Businesses linked to adult entertainment, payday lending, private prisons, tobacco and legal Marijuana have historically been targeted by risk-reduction banking policies.
Let me apologize. I did write that the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001, section 326(b) allowed the Mexican Matricula Consular card as valid ID.
I was wrong.
That came from the rule-making of Bush's Treasury Department.
Again, please accept my humble apology.
FRegards,
“We have some foreigners working at the barn”
is that adding to the problem of illegals being here?
Are they all farm workers?
Breakdown of the two parts1. “Congress sent to Bush's Treasury Dept., a request for clarification about the rules they were going to implement.”
This is a reasonable paraphrase of what Section 326(b) actually did, though not exact. Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act (Pub. L. 107-56) required the Secretary of the Treasury (in consultation with the federal functional regulators—OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, OTS, NCUA, SEC, CFTC, etc.) to do two things: Prescribe regulations setting minimum standards for customer identification programs (CIPs) when any person opens an account (Section 326(a)).
Within six months of enactment, submit a report to Congress containing recommendations on how to handle foreign nationals specifically (Section 326(b)).
en.wikisource.org
The report was required to address: The most timely and effective way to require foreign nationals to provide accurate identity, address, and related information comparable to what is required of U.S. nationals.
Whether foreign nationals should be required to obtain an identification number similar to a Social Security number or taxpayer identification number before opening an account.
Establishing a system for financial institutions to review government-held information to verify the identities of foreign nationals.
So Congress directed Treasury (Bush's Treasury) to study and recommend rules/processes specifically for foreign nationals as part of implementing the identification requirements. It was not phrased as a casual “request for clarification,” but it was a statutory mandate for recommendations about the rules that would apply to foreign nationals.2. “As the USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 specifies is that the agencies responsible [for] banking regulations establish the rules under which foreign nationals could obtain access to US banking services.”
This is substantially correct. Section 326(a) explicitly directed the Treasury Secretary, jointly with the banking/functional regulators, to establish the minimum standards (the CIP rules) that financial institutions must follow when verifying the identity of any person seeking to open an account. Those rules apply to foreign nationals (and U.S. persons). The regulations that resulted (finalized in 2003) set the framework under which non-U.S. persons can open accounts by specifying what identifying information and documents are acceptable.

In short: Your description captures the core of what Section 326 required—Treasury and the banking regulators were tasked with writing the identification rules, and Congress specifically required recommendations focused on foreign nationals. The phrasing is a bit loose (“request for clarification” and “rules under which foreign nationals could obtain access”), but the underlying facts are accurate.
A long time ago I went into a local gas station and there was a small line at the back. Direct line phones with hookups to allow money transfers to some South American country, so people could send some of their American earnings to relatives. Part of why the Dem excuse “they add to America’s economy just like people born here” wasn’t true. That money is gone.
“A new study reveals that immigrants in the United States send an estimated $200 billion annually to their home countries.”

If allowed? Like they did to all Trump businesses? I guess precedent has been set - it can be done. I wonder if it requires banks to voluntarily de-bank? I assume the same mechanism they did it to Trumpnit can be done here.
As much as I would like to see the results of this capability, seeing such powers in the hands of any administration of any level of government without a court order simply appalls me.
It’s potential for abuse in the hands of Democrats is simply too great.
They use banks! Bank of America was one of the first banks to let them have accounts without what the rest of us have to prove to get a new bank account.
I hope this helps more of them to self-deport!
Whoa. No family needs 4 to 5 cartloads of groceries for the usual span of time between shopping trips, perishables being what determines that. Are these women like den mothers for a house crammed with a dozen or more bachelors that have come over the border, or what?
Illegals living 3 or 4 wage earners to a house (common I'd say) is why they can afford to work for less. That's how they drive locals out of the job market. The employers are effectively saying to the townspeople: "Joe Lunch-bucket, if you want a job, you're going to have to downgrade your living conditions to be competitive.

;^)
Exactly. They usually have 5 to 8 cars in the yard........
Excellent.
BTW, if they’re “undocumented” then under KYC rules they can’t have a bank account.
You guessed it. There was a house in our neighborhood that was 2 stories with 4-5 bedrooms. It had a large driveway. The driveway had arrows painted on it, parking spots delineated and numbered, and almost no visible furniture or personal effects through the windows. There were always 5-6 cars there. The occupants were seldom seen, but any that were didn’t speak English. Several neighbors called the cops (and ICE) repeatedly, but nothing happened until Trump’s second term. The house is now vacant.
“I live in Eastern Washington. Might as well be a suburb of Mexico.”
It’s even worse in western Washington. We’re overrun with people from Central America and South America.
A lot of the illegal aliens didn’t self-deport. They just fled to the sanctuary states.
