Sanctuary policies are leading to dangerous situations by making it harder for ICE to do its job, Republican critics argued after an illegal immigrant fled agents and crashed on a major New Jersey highway, injuring the wife of a Democratic mayor.
The Wednesday crash is fueling a renewed fight over New Jersey's limits on cooperation between local police and federal immigration authorities. Republicans are arguing Sherrill's approval of the "Trust Directive" creates public-safety risks by limiting the ability of ICE to work with police officers. They also contend that Democrats are wrongheaded to respond to such incidents by calling for ICE's abolition rather than stronger enforcement.
One of the people injured in the other vehicle was the wife of East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen. Fox News Digital reached out to Cohen and North Brunswick Mayor Francis Womack III for comment.
"This is just the latest in a long line of traffic incidents and vehicular incidents that wouldn't occur if New Jersey didn't have our sanctuary status that got codified as soon as Gov. Sherrill came into office," Assemblyman Paul Kanitra, R-Point Pleasant Beach, told Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview Friday.

Yeah the wife of a dim mayor being injured doesn’t sound like a game changer to me.
It’s about damned time the Demonic Party’s policies started “impacting” them...

Despite all the examples around them, the worthless Dems in Delaware just signed into law what is effectively an anti-ICE position. I wonder if law enforcement realizes this sort of thing makes them less respected by the ordinary citizens who have to take additional risk from illegal drivers the police aren’t allowed to help deport.

I have longed wished for every victim of Illegal Alien crime to be a liberal or a relative of a liberal, the higher up the liberal food chain, the better.
But it's usually the other way round, where some decent American family is impacted by Illegals' heinous crimes.
If she dies, he'll just concoct some story about how she told him not to punish the innocent for the 'mistake' of one.
It is obvious what is coming on this one. Police departments in California follow specific supervisor-led policies that require officers to terminate a vehicle pursuit when the danger to the public outweighs the immediate need to capture a suspect. The Los Angeles Police Department, instruct officers to break off a chase immediately if it enters a high-risk phase, like driving the wrong way on a freeway or speeding through crowded residential areas. So the local police will restrain the ICE agents from chasing after an illegal due to danger assessment.
It stands to reason just like guns for liberals. If the victim cannot have a gun to protect themselves, then only criminals will have them and will have free reign. If ICE is stopped from chasing a person, then the local cops will detain them while the illegal drives away. And they will call it lawfully done.
