As he is wont to do, President Donald Trump has posted something to his Truth Social page that has got people talking and speculating this Labor Day holiday weekend.
The POTUS has had space endeavors on his mind in recent weeks, which have included honoring the famed crew of Artemis II and announcing plans to sign "an executive order establishing a U.S. National Space Academy, apparently to feed into the Space Force and NASA," as my RedState colleague Nick Arama previously reported.
"To continue to lead the world in space exploration and technology, while securing and defending our national interests in space, the Nation must prepare the next generation of astronauts, scientists, engineers, operators, entrepreneurs, civil servants, and warfighters and ensure that they are capable of advancing American interests in space," Trump noted in the executive order he signed on August 28th.
He added that "it is my Administration’s policy to strengthen the Nation’s space workforce by expanding opportunities to educate and develop the next generation of leaders across the space domain."
Something else RedState reported was Trump sharing what our own Ward Clark described as "the new strangely Star Wars-like Space Force uniform." We're not sure if this is going to be the finished product, but the image certainly sparked quite the stir:
... as did this one from Trump, where he declared "the moon is ours":

So it would sound like the goal of us going to the moon and staying there, along with Trump suggesting that the "moon is ours," would kind of go hand in hand.
What are your thoughts?

Good. Now we need to copyright any use of any moon imagery and start billing for its use. We can start by charging islam for the use of the crescent moon on the top of every mosque/armory. (Sarc)
The 51st state. We need to find two people to serve as Senators.
We planted the flag.
Jackson Browne’s “Lawyers in Love” was one of my favorite songs
Declare the moon is a white nation with free welfare and every turd world turd can immigrate there.
But is it in the seventh house?
Although Musk talks frequently about his desire to go to Mars, he is just as intent on going to the Moon. Imagine his dozens of Starships transporting Boring Company machinery and Optimus robots to the Moon, where they will tunnel deep into the Moon and mine resources. The underground factories will be built, and these materials will be sent to space and Mars. Lots of underground water there, and the act of tunneling will enable creation of building materials. Already happening in Las Vegas where the Boring Company lines the tunnel walls with excavated diggings.
We’ll go to the moon - and to Mars and we’ll be first with AI... Why are you so down on America? Do YOU think democrats who hate our country are going to sell us out? Really, take a deep breath - we’re winning this one.

The ‘mating call’ that starts at 1:57 and 3:31 and plays over the chorus was used by a Washington DC DJ (Greaseman) back in the 1980s in a skit called ‘Gay Tarzan.’
Treaty schmeaty.
We don't need no stinkin treaties, it's ours.
Talk to an indian about a treaty.
I agree! We are living in historic times, again...as we always do.
I love seeing that our country can still do large, great things. I just watched a video about a $60 Billion dollar gas pipeline we are building from Alaska’s North Slope to the biggest LNG terminal in the world on the Louisiana coast that is, I think, 2/3 of the way built.
It’s not ours until we plant a Waffle House on it.
