A Westchester County police bigwig’s bust for allegedly driving her son to a botched gang drive by in the Bronx has Democrats running for cover — and Republicans saying I told you so.
Ex-Mount Vernon Deputy Police Commissioner Jennifer Lackard is facing attempted murder charges in the shocking June 29 shooting, but prominent Democrats in the region are staying mum and refusing to condemn the disgraced cop because the suburban city is a coveted party stronghold.
“Democrats are the first to preach ‘no one is above the law’ until it screws them politically,” Republican National Committee spokeswoman Natalie Baldassarre told The Post. “This thug-hugging mom had no business being a police commissioner and any official who covered for her should be held to account.”
Yet, nearly a dozen prominent New York Democrats asked to comment on the scandal declined or ignored inquiries by The Post — while others only addressed it in generic terms.
“Governor [Kathy] Hochul’s top priority is public safety,” said a spokesperson for Gov. Kathy Hochul, one of only two Democrats to address the scandal at all when asked for a comment.
“Those entrusted with keeping New Yorkers safe must be held to the highest ethical and professional standards, and anyone whose actions jeopardize the critical mission of law enforcement must be investigated and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
Others, including pols like state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Yonkers), state Assemblyman Gary Pretlow (D-Mount Vernon) and Mount Vernon-born state Sen. George Latimer (D-New Rochelle), did not respond to the inquiries.

She’s Black!! I am SHOCKED!!
Mentally ill Jennifer, James and Chase not thankful for what they have. Horrible parents participating in a potential drive by murder. What will professionals who mete out justice do to protect us?
Bloodlust for power by sociopathic humans knows no bounds.
My neighbor’s two boys were on the HS basketball team with three black kids. The black kids had fancy cars and my neighbor was dirt poor and barely making it. The five of them were together most of the time. One day when the black kids were on their own, they stopped to collect on a drug debt. The debtor was a middle-aged black male. He told them to go F themselves. The captain took out a gun and shot the guy dead. All three went to prison because in Florida, if you are with someone who kills you share the guilt.
I asked the neighbor’s boys why the captain had shot the man. The answer with total sincerity was, “He had to. The man ‘dissed’ him.” My conclusion is that blacks live in a totally different world with its own rules. The neighbor’s boys understood that world because integration brought it into the white social structure.
I knew a black coworker who sent his boys off to an African boarding school for high school. He said they came back speaking perfect English, well-educated and most importantly, not a part of the American black social structure.
I’ve worked with and known blacks who did everything possible to insulate themselves from this corrosive structure. They want to live in the white social structure and they do. But they are well aware of the alternative and what it means to living in a civilized society.
I’m sure this has nothing to do with hiring by DEI over competence.
A chauffeur drive by shooting. Did the mom use a police car to drive her son to the drive by shooting?? 🤣
That's funny...
RICO them all.
hint: no need to look at the pic; you already know what you’ll see, and it ain’t Archie’s mom driving Archie to a botched gang drive by ...
“He had to. The man ‘dissed’ him.” Maybe dueling should be brought back.
Pronto.
Just look at islime and mooselimbs.
It does look like she could pass the paper bag test, however.
