BEL AIRE, Kan. (KAKE) — A 21-year-old woman has been charged with multiple felonies after she allegedly shot at a group of girls who had just egged her house in Bel Aire over the weekend.
Sedgwick County court records show Ericya Burns is charged with criminal discharge of a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault. Her first court appearance was held Thursday afternoon.
Officers with the Bel Aire Police Department responded at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday to the report of a possible drive-by shooting in the 5300 block of North Lycee Street. They located and collected several spent shell casings from the area and interviewed two individuals who were initially believed to be victims.
Police said during the initial investigation, the two women told officers that a group of approximately five females, some of whom were under the age of 18, had arrived at the residence and egged the house. They further reported that as the group left the area in a white Jeep, several rounds were fired toward them.
During the subsequent follow-up investigation, Bel Aire Police officers located the white Jeep. Officers observed bullet holes in the vehicle. The occupants of the Jeep had been shot at by a person from the house they egged, police said.
Interviews were conducted, and investigators obtained a search warrant for the home Lycee Street.
Bel Aire police served the search warrant and detained Burns and Semia Arbertha. Following the service of the search warrant and subsequent interviews, two women were arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail.

It is an ultra-luxury area of LA for only the most affluent.
The median price of a home there is 7.8 million.
At first I thought this article was about Bel Aire, Ca. which had me wondering how a 21 year old (assuming she’s the homeowner) could afford to live there.
Turns out it was KS. and home prices in that neighborhood are 240k-280k

You aren’t far from wrong. Egginhg a house doesn’t go past a misdemeaner until they cause overe $1000 in damage. Kids may also be cited for trespassing, litering, or disorderly conduct if they stepped onto the property or caused a disturbance.
Normlly, offenders or their parents are ordered to pay for cleaning, power-washing, or repainting the damaged areas. Courts often assign community service, restorative justice programs, or juvenile probation for first-time vandalism offenses.
But if they just threw eggs and not rocks or bullets, a slap on the wrist is normal.

Real girls or fake girls?
I am to the point that I think you should be allowed to use lethal force to protect your property. It would reduce a lot of crime in the long run. If nothing else, it would prune the criminal population nicely.
