Scientists are weeks away from results that could either confirm or shatter one of history’s most enduring biblical mysteries.
Noah needed incontrovertible proof. He got it.
“And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.” (Genesis 8:11)
Now, we need incontrovertible proof that his legendary Ark has been unearthed.

“Current data increases the likelihood that it is Noah’s ark with each passing day,” the archaeology professor told the Turkish news agency iHA.
He is leading an international team of 20 researchers to the Durupınar Formation in eastern Türkiye, which began surveying the site on June 28. They’re due to finish on September 11.
“These studies will yield definitive results within 2-3 months. Then we will provide more illuminating information,” Prof Atila adds.

Especially the ones who aren't archaeologists. 😁 A tour guide teams up with a Turk who wants some attention, and probably funding, and they go to a geological site which isn't and never was a ship of any kind, and Turkey wants more tourism.
... evangelical tour guide and founder of the Noah's ark Scans project, Andrew Jones, has found "evidence" of artificial structures preserved beneath a hull-shaped rock formation near Türkiye's Mount Ararat.
The split rock that provided water for Moses’s people is still standing. The Rock of Horeb. It’s near Jebel al Lawz Saudi Arabia. I’ve seen it. There is a definite sign of flowering water going away from it. Lots of carvings of a Calf as well...
I think this is also a record for one year.
How did the olive tree survive the flood? Especially with all that salt in the water.

Earlier on FR:
The dove was sent out some 47 days after the ark rested on the mountain. A Mediterranean olive tree could easily grow to 12” (with leaves) in that time frame.
Why wouldn’t they.
He was the God of Abraham too.
Long before Mohammad came along.
Perhaps, but how could it have survived after being under salt water for almost a year?
Even if it’s proved to once have been a boat (which is unlikely to the extreme), that still in no way, shape, form or fashion “proves” it’s Noah’s ark.
Pure confirmation bias.
Where did all the water go?
Not a year, 10 months, and water started receding. And many ways a seed could have survived, even preserved in the carcass of an animal/bird/debris floating on the water.
Or God could have just made it happen, just as he did during creation. But believing that takes faith, which I assume you don’t hold.
It would be surprising to me if the US hasn’t already done deep surveying through the satellites and single-purpose missions.
September 12 will be the beginning of the year 5787 from the creation of the world by the Jewish calendar. So Archbishop Ussher seems to have been off in his calculations by a few hundred years.
The ruts left by Pharaoh’s chariots could still be seen in the sixth century, according to the historian Gregory of Tours.
STILL a fraud. This garbage has been recirculating with regularity since the late 80’s. Ron Wyatt is dead, give it up already.
The idea of a flood isn’t unique to the bible.
If all it takes is faith to believe something happened, why go to such great lengths to come up with "incontrovertible proof"? Which is what this article suggests archeologists have done. I guess we'll find out in 2 weeks. 😆
Funny, I was taking a geology class in college that same year where I first learned of Bishop Usher’s time scale.
