Scientists are weeks away from results that could either confirm or shatter one of history’s most enduring biblical mysteries.
Noah needed incontrovertible proof. He got it.
“And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.” (Genesis 8:11)
Now, we need incontrovertible proof that his legendary Ark has been unearthed.

I think so. Why is this supposed to be new again? It is the same spot as before.
If it’s proof the anomaly that has been investigated for MANY YEARS is indeed a 4,000 year old ship high up on the mountains of Ararat, Bob’s your Uncle. Hopefully Turkey will allow a massive archeological dig similar to what they allowed at Gobo Teke. (Sp) I doubt they will, even though the tourism would be massive.
Mt Sinai in Saudi Arabia is still fenced off. The crossing spot in the Red Sea has been dredged clean over the years to destroy evidence of Pharaoh’s army. The Rock Moses split will probably get blown up eventually too.

A lot of these archeologists seem to get out ahead of their proof.
Is this weeks away from discovery in the sense of how like Iran has been just weeks away from a nuke since like 1998, or in this case does weeks not equal decades?

How will they get proof? Would DNA from animal poop still exist in any of the material discovered? It sounds like a silly question, but I’m actually serious.

Most interesting will be if it can be dated.
Ussher imposed his calculations on the Bible and they were widely assumed true or close to true. But did 100 years or 900 years as translated from the language of Noah or Enoch mean the same thing as when Abraham or Joseph said 100 years?

It’s not a “legend”, and the chances of finding any part of it after more than 4,000 years is slim to none. You either believe the Bible or you don’t.

Archbiship James Ussher famously fixed the date of the creation of the earth as October 24, 4004 BC at 9:00 A--and I assume he meant Pacific Daylight Time. So on October 24, 1972, at 9:00 AM PDT, students in the geology department at Occidental College invaded my geology class, which was just getting underway, to hold a surprise party to celebrate the creation of the earth. A TV cameraman accompanied the students, and we got on the news that evening.
