The United States military destroyed three Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps crude oil tankers in the Persian Gulf Saturday – after Iran launched ballistic missiles at two US Navy vessels.
Footage shows large tankers blown up in flames, as a thick plume of black smoke rise off the sea.
A US military aircraft crew can be heard over radio warning an oil tanker near Kharg Island, before unleashing a barrage of missiles that lit the vessel in flames.
“I’m preparing to fire. …You have three minutes to clear the crew,” the US is heard in a video filmed aboard a nearby vessel, obtained by Iran International.
Crew members can be heard speaking in Persian and Urdu, and asking whether the ship’s captain was at his post — before realizing he was still asleep.
“This was your final warning,” the US crew says before firing at the tanker, which was first sanctioned by Washington in 2018. “Get into your lifeboats and abandon the ship immediately.”
Two of the struck ships were in the Gulf of Oman, and the third was anchored off Kharg Island — Iran’s key export hub through which 90% of its crude exports flowed before the war.
Earlier Saturday, Iran reported four missiles struck one of its oil tankers anchored six miles from the island, according to state media Tasnim.
“You have three minutes to clear the crew,” the US is heard warning in a video obtained by Iran International.

Some more information on those two U.S. Navy vessels which had been targeted would be greatly appreciated!
Did the Iranian missiles hit their targets? Were any U.S. servicemen injured / killed? What were the names of the two U.S.N. vessels? How were the Iranian ballistic missiles shot down - or did they merely fail to strike their targets?
This report is frustratingly vague and low in content!

Imagine if muslim bombers, and suicide bombers go into a church, cafe, neighborhood, or temple and announced, "I'm going to blow myself up. You have three minutes to clear the area!".
Then again, imagine communist killers like Bill Ayers giving a three-minute warning to people before they bombed the Capitol or police stations. "Guilty as sin, free as a bird" sez he.

It would be more quickly convincing to go asymmetric - for each US or allies or even neutral ship the Iranians fire on, we take out the distillation tower(s) at an Iranian refinery. This could be done with cheap Ukie (or Iranian style) style drones. Next would come major storage, and any potential import terminals outside our blockade.
The Mullahs and IRGC can’t effectively run the country without refined products, and no further or future disruption of crude oil supplies would occur unless the Iranians make the mistake of making more attacks - in which case the refined products noose will close on them even faster.

I'll note that they had a couple Russian-built nuke electricity plants (to enable their nuclear ambitions). They are probably in dis-repair as they were old Chernobyl-style designs.
I've never heard that they have desalination facilities. Taking care of the people is really not a priority of the mullahs. They've been in drought for years, drained their reservoirs, starved farmers of water.
Just like California.

I have a strong feeling that the U.S. pressure on Iran is like a duck.
