PLYMOUTH, Mass. – A judge declared a mistrial in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial Friday on the seventh day of deliberations — but gave her defiant lawyer one hour to file an emergency appeal against the ruling.

The 12-person jury – made up of nine women and three men – told Judge William Sullivan that they could not agree on whether to convict Clancy, 36, of three counts of first-degree murder.

Hung jury?

If I understand correctly, the DA would then have to decide whether to re-file the charges and try the case again.

Given public pressure and the media spotlight, perhaps the case wouldn’t be tried again? We’ll see.

It’s as if they’re trying to legalize retroactive abortions.

I think a holdout saved an acquittal

The defense is appeal to vacate the mistrial to try to force the judge to make the jury reconvene and wear down the holdout.

“Hail Mary”?

The NYP needs to get a little educated on Judeo-Christian heritage

Mary is known primarily for saying yes to family

Read the freakin room

“””A judge declared a mistrial in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial Friday on the seventh day of deliberations — but gave her defiant lawyer one hour to file an emergency appeal against the ruling.””””

Above statement not correct. Judge said he WILL DECLARE A MISTRIAL.

So the jurors will now have to cool their jets for one hour.

Absolutely. I fear when that person is identified his life is gonna be a living hell.

One thing we know, liberals are vindictive as a MFer.

Perhaps the DA should have cast a wider net and tried on a less rigorous standard, by charging second degree murder instead of first degree murder

I’m not blaming the DA

It was clearly first degree murder

But perhaps the DA (and most right-thinking Americans) didn’t recognize the potential uber-stupidity of “a jury of her peers,” as well as the general emotional/anxious train-wreck and lunacy that is the state of woke urban females in 2026

Sounds like all but one wanted to declare her not guilty. Good for that one to refuse to cave. Now, prosecutors, do a better job of picking jurors. And shame on defense attorneys who couldn’t care less about justice, but only about winning.

There isn’t going to be an ‘acquittal’.

I think so too. And that holdout's life is going to be hell from now on, criminally so.

Lindsay knew what she was doing because she sent her husband to the store and EVEN TRACKED HIS MOVEMENTS VIA GPS ON HER PHONE as she carried out her murder spree.

ALSO, she attempted to gently fall from the back window in an attempt to ESCAPE because she feared being caught by her husband. This wasn't a suicide attempt!

HANG THE SELFISH BI*CH and RID THIS EARTH of this DEMONIC being, PRONTO.

I heard from the TV lawyers on Fox that Massachusetts law puts the burden on the state to prove the person isn’t insane instead of just proving guilt, instead of putting the burden on the defense to prove ther client is insane.

Actually, that’s the majority opinion, but VERY many people with experience here (for instance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-rDMjfD5lw) are saying it could VERY easily be the other way and they are leaning that way.
