Thank you very much and God bless you,

Rejection sounds like routine military procedure to me.
Yeah... Sure...
Also, the moon is made from blue cheese...
My initial response is that this had to do with a Leftist organization trying to make hay off of rumors of military dissatisfaction and food shortages.
But the young man who founded "Collin's Elves" at the age of eight sounded like he was full in on Charlie Kirk and TPUSA (The article this passage was taken from was published in 2025):
"...“First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the West Jefferson Hills Republican community for inviting us here today. So thank you guys. I appreciate it. In 2018, I established a nonprofit organization called Collin’s Elves that focused on supporting military members through care packages, and since that time, I’ve distributed over 15,000 care packages worldwide,” he explained, eliciting gasps from the crowd.
“This journey has taught extraordinary lessons in leadership and has humbled me in recognizing everyday comforts we often take for granted,” he said.
“Following the tragic loss of Charlie Kirk, I felt a strong urge to bring people together and further his mission of truth. In the past few weeks, there was a significant effort required to get our clubs approved within the school district, and I’m thrilled to announce that as of last week, we succeeded, with over 60 students signed up to carry on,” he said.
Arthrell explained that Kirk’s work will never be forgotten, and young people will not waver in their commitment to the future.
“Together, this chapter holds a potential to accomplish remarkable things for the youth in our community. It will not only unite us as conservative students but also empower us to educate ourselves on truth and morals, enabling us to share this knowledge with others,” he said..."
If I had to make a guess, a US Navy Public Relations team is very leery, and may have clumped this organization in with others who have been working overtime lately to make Trump and his administration, including Hegseth, the Pentagon, and the Navy look bad.
Granted, in the life of a young person, his views may have changed dramatically towards conservatism, entering as he is into the time when the Left really likes to dig into their brains, but I suggest we wait for more info. I say we just wait before jumping to conclusions.
The media has been trying really hard to create the appearance of morale issues on board the Abraham Lincoln.
That said, the charity needs to realize, if the ship takes these packages, at this point in time, that may be used in what is our MSM trying to exploit every angle they can find to paint a negative image of this war.
To the charity: Don’t take it personal. Sadly, you’ve found yourself in the middle of a PR battlefield, right or wrong, that’s the bottom line. I seriously doubt the captain of the ship harbors any hard feelings towards people wanting to send his boys care packages.
I know the Ford had a fire which effected things for the crew: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1377348520924462&id=cnn Some folks mix the carriers up, the Lincoln didn’t have the fire. I seriously doubt there is any food shortage. Like zero percent chance of that.
If it were needed, the Navy would resupply at sea using palatized supplies they can get from their ports all over the place (not even hard). Because of the size and number of people, they have to pump air into these ships (otherwise you’d literally not have enough O2 and to much CO2), and while not perfect, they enjoy AC. They have a rack to sleep in. It’s war, it’s scary. They are pushed. But they aren’t starving or jumping over board more than usual (people commit suicide occasionally - lots of people, some away from home the first time, some relationship issues...).
Like in Iraq 2003 (the buzzword was PTSD back then), because the MSM is anti Trump, now morale is a big issue again.
You can almost predict how the news will roll based on who is President.
Agreed.
Morale has, as in 2003, become one of the “angles of attack” by our MSM.
I doubt the leadership team of any military organization has any issues with care packages from home.
Truth is, even if the military provides you with everything you need and more, the mere fact that you’re not forgotten, or getting something “different” is very nice.
Eating the same things gets sort of boring after a while. I couldn’t eat a Skittle for many years after returning.
It was a box of her handmade pizzelles. Completely bended, folded, spindled, and mutilated. (I only knew what they were by reading the enclosed card!)
We enjoyed them nevertheless...we cut a hole in the corner of the bag, and my and my squadron mates simply poured the crumbly yellow powder straight into our mouths!
For many years since then, when I think of that cardboard box, stuffed with the fruits of my grandmother's caring and expert hand showing up that way, I can only think of that old American Tourister commercial!
Obviously the answer is for the non profit to ask for specific names and addresses so these boxes can be sent. Once the young sailors get them, I can guarantee you from my experience in the Army, they will take good care of the items in the boxes and share with their buds. Mission accomplished for the non profit. The young sailors are caught in the middle so keep sending directly to them and I guarantee you they will appreciate your efforts.
