Paramount Skydance (PSKY.O), is keeping all options, including a possible sale of CNN, "on the table" to resolve California's antitrust suit challenging its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery (WBD.O), the company's chief legal officer said.
Speaking at Politico's California Agenda conference on Tuesday, Makan Delrahim also became the first Paramount executive to publicly acknowledge the Los Angeles-based company may leave California, after recent media reports cited unnamed sources about a potential relocation.

11 Democrat State Attorneys General joined the suit.
Red state economic developers should be courting this company.
My guess is that Disney would buy it to give ABC a cable news operation,
I would love to see them punish states that are hanging this deal out to dry, as well as the folks in the acting ranks who have been shrieking about it. Take as much of the business out of CA as possible. The water is fine here in Vegas, Texas is nice, and South FL is great. Oh, and BTW, don’t sell CNN; just liquidate it.
Isn't ABC News already on cable?
I’m talking about an exclusively news network like FNC, CNN, MS NOW.
I misread it as “psycho.”
Not too far off the mark, after all-it’s California!
I’ll give them $100 to take it off their hands free of debt. I’d prefer to do it as an asset purchase rather than an entity purchase to be free of non-debt liabilities (primarily the contacts for the actors playing the roles of newsmen).
“Maybe Elon Musk would buy it?”
Be a shame if Musk bought CNN (for 39 cents or whatever its market value) and then found it too unprofitable to continue operating (LOL)...or simply PROHIBITED anyone with a Journalism, Communication, Acting, or Education degree from working there.
“Maybe Elon Musk would buy it? {snicker}”
Not really a snicker but an evil, cackling laugh.
In my best Jean Luk Piccard voice. “Make it so.”
I’ll start the bidding. One dollar.
It’s your money so if you want to flush it down a rat hole…
CNN? Who wants to buy a dog turd?
Here’s the thing: The CW has its own news network (NewsNation).
The Democrat AG’s protecting Netflix.
If I’m David Ellison, I’d sell the MTV Networks and unload them.
Cable news is obsolete. The CNN relic has no real value
What do you base that opinion on? CNN may have little value, but that doesn’t mean the cable news platform does. If what you say is accurate then FNC has no value. CNN’s lack iof value is due to its performance, not its business segment. But we’ll find out in the event it’s divested, won’t we?
News is increasingly being delivered in streaming pod casts on youtube by both those who have news from on site and those who are just garbage.
The garbage will be sorted out but what remains is superior to the CNN product.
Fox is a different matter.
