Senator Mitch McConnell was discharged from the rehab center and said he will continue his recovery at home.
McConnell was hospitalized on June 14 after he was found unconscious at his DC home.
“Earlier today, I was discharged from the rehabilitation center to continue my recovery at home. Elaine and I are grateful for the many well wishes and support from friends, colleagues, and Kentuckians, and for the attentive care I’ve received from excellent doctors, nurses, therapists, and hospital staff," McConnell said in a statement.
“On the advice of my doctors, I’ll maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy from home during the state work period, and I’ll continue to engage with my staff and colleagues on important Senate business,” McConnell said.

Last month McConnell posted a photo of himself smiling in a rehab bed next to his wife, Elaine Chao amid a 2-month absence.
The latest photo was dated Sunday, July 26.

I saw Tik Tok video of him doing the moonwalk that made Michael Jackson look like an amateur.
Cynicism, bitterness, and just plain hate. However, there is such a thing as righteous anger. But even at that, we’re told not to let the sun go down on our anger. It isn’t mentally, emotionally, or spiritually healthy. But personally, I do not like to be lied to. The Bible doesn’t preach tolerance, but it does preach forgiveness. What are we to do with those who refuse to ask for forgiveness?
So many are giving jaded responses, because many of us are rather certain we are being lied to by our government about Mitch’s heath status.
Many here are also angry that even now, there is no official
statement from Mitch or anyone speaking for him, that he now resigns from all political duties!
We all wish him a good recovery, but that can and should be done in the privacy of his home, not the Senate Chambers!
