What if the current unrest in the country leads to a second American Civil War? How would that play out in the modern era? Let’s allow ourselves a daydream — or nightmare — about how it might go.
Granted, there wouldn’t be battles like those that were fought in Gettysburg or Vicksburg, but it’s conceivable each side would come up with their own flag design, since symbols are essential. The Right might construct a “freedom” flag, which would stand in stark contrast to the flag of the Left: a raised fist decorated with small anarcho-feminist and transgender icons — with the middle finger extended.
The first shot of the new civil war will not be fired at Fort Sumter, but could ring out during one of the nation’s many anti-ICE demonstrations. Leftist warriors will drive their SUVs and Honda vehicles into ICE agents with a sense of furious self-righteousness, only to find themselves instantly transported to the afterlife.
Consumed by their love of open borders, blue state migrant activists could ignore reports of rape gangs pillaging their daughters and granddaughters. Some will urge tolerance as they chalk the violent incidents up to “valuable cultural differences,” the same way they will dismiss the execution-style murders of their gay sons and friends by Berlin-style ISIS killers.
The Left will be taken by surprise when President Trump might declare martial law. They could long for the old days when the worst punishment they received was a blast of pepper spray or a slap on the wrist.
In blue cities, the Left could meet openly in Quaker meeting houses, Unitarian churches, and city-owned buildings. Formerly benign groups like Nuns on the Bus might be renamed Nuns with Guns, as the streets of New York and Philadelphia could become like armed camps.

In fantasy land, CWII with the left would be glorious. The left is weak, and a good many of them need violent lessons.
In reality, war is ugly and in a civil war, neither side would win. Only our adversaries would benefit.
It has already begun - our side just hasn’t engaged yet.
Want to know what civil war with the left looks like? Just look around. We're there.

And so many on the right imagine the left as a bunch of screeching Karens and effete homosexuals with a deep aversion to firearms.
Sure, maybe at the top. But in the streets you've got hardened criminals and enforcers like Antifa who are conditioned to escalate to immediate brutal violence while many on the right have never been in a fist fight.
It's every communist revolution. The Bolsheviks emptied the prisons of violent, low IQ criminals and gave them the green light to rob, rape, and steal "for the revolution" -tasks they participated in with great enthusiasm.
Of course, after the revolution when their wanton violence was no longer needed, a few of these petty street criminals (like Stalin) would find themselves in positions of great power. Most of the rest would be marched off to a ditch and executed. Their unrestrained violence and low IQs no longer benefited the cause.
Lots of street fighting. Mostly initiated by the Left in which Normals are attacked. Then the government would arrest the Normals.

Throw in a few hundred thousand fanatical Muslims and all the inner city blacks and they may not be so weak. The Muslims and blacks will side with the leftists and then kill the leftists when it’s over.
For one, it wouldn’t be two factions. At a minimum there would be 4 national factions and thousands of local ones.
The question is which side the US Military would stand with.

Good point. Especially the muslims. Those people are very determined, that’s why they are such a threat.

Dmitru Dudumann, Romanian Pastor who escaped torture in Romania and came to the United States in 1984, was given a vision by God for the US. He said a civil war would start in the United States. It would be at that point that an alliance of hostile nations would hit us with nukes. Dudumann’s testimony is on YouTube
