Kamala Harris teases potential 2028 platform: ‘I know this is going to be controversial’ (goes full commie)

Kamala Harris on Friday signaled she’d support abolishing the Electoral College and packing the Supreme Court – an indication that the former vice president has moved further to the left since her disastrous 2024 presidential campaign.

“I know this is going to be controversial coming from me, in particular,” Harris said in remarks at the National Urban League Conference in Nashville, Tenn., before laying out part of her potential 2028 platform.

“We need to revisit the Electoral College. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court, to 13 justices like we have 13 district courts. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.,” the former vice president argued.

Abolishing the Electoral College – a plank on the Democratic Socialists of America platform – is not a position Harris held during her failed 2024 presidential campaign. Harris lost both the Electoral College and popular vote to President Trump that year.

Similarly, Harris didn’t back court packing in 2024. The former vice president instead favored term limits and subjecting justices to a binding code of ethics.

Harris supported statehood for Washington, DC, during her campaign against Trump, but not for Puerto Rico.

In her remarks, the former vice president also called for “accountability and consequences” for federal judicial nominees that intentionally mislead the Senate Judiciary Committee, including putting in place rules that would allow the panel to hold nominees who lie in contempt of Congress.

Harris’ leftward tilt comes amid reports she’s been talking to prominent progressives, including socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, ahead of another possible run at the White House.

...an indication that the former vice president has moved further to the left since her disastrous 2024 presidential campaign.

She hasn't moved further left, she's just admitting what she always believed but wouldn't say out loud.

Just a tease.

Abolish the Electoral College.
Pack the Supreme Court.

Overthrow the government? Disband the Senate and House? Sounds a LOT like the DSA platform.

I’m not a lawyer but I think that overthrowing the government falls under some kind of statute.

Can anyone help explain?

If the Democrats nominate Kamala again, she will be their first losing presidential candidate since Adlai Stevenson to be given a second chance.

America does not need a Muzzie refugee anchor baby as a senator in the US Congress. If the boy wants to be a Senator, he needs to go home. We’ve got enough normal people to fill all these spots.

"...she’d support abolishing the Electoral College..."

Hmmm... Isn't there a little inconvenience, like the appropriate methodology, somewhere in the Constitution?
I vaguely remember that it takes 2/3 of the states' approval to ratify a change in the Constitution...
Of course, at 93, I may be disremembering...

I agree with you I don’t think she’ll ever run for an office again. We’ll see if we’re both right or not.

That destroys all three branches of our government!

1) Electoral College destroys the Executive Branch, by implementing pure 51.1% “democracy,’ then

2) Packing the court, of course, destroys the Judicial Branch, ensuring leftism forever, then

3) Finally, DC and Puerto Rico statehood destroys the Legislative Branch, with leftist majorities forever.

Kamala is now full-blown hardcore anti-American.
