Alex Jones calls for immediate Trump impeachment
The Hill ^

Posted on 07/30/2026 9:52:31 AM PDT by USA-FRANCE

Alex Jones, the former owner of InfoWars, on Tuesday said President Trump must be impeached over the Iran conflict, describing the situation as “absolutely out of control” and warning that the administration is preparing for a national draft. “The big issue is how to stop Trump. And we have to have Congress go for the war powers. They’ve tried three times to vote on war powers — they’re supposed to authorize a war. This is a war; they’re getting the draft ready. If this isn’t a war, nothing’s a war. I mean, this is absolutely out of control,” Jones said during a live segment broadcast on the social platform X.

The nice thing about believing for 20 years - ever since I became aware of “Alex Jones”, really - that Jones is nothing but a crackpot grifter who says outrageous crap to get attention/eyeballs to hawk whatever crap he’s currently selling is that I’ve been able to spend a blissful 20 years not giving a damn what he says.

Any talk of reinstituting the draft is simply crazy talk. I served in the early days of the AVF (76-84) and it has served our nation well.

My two sons are adults, but I have a 15YO grandson that will not be sacrificed for another endless war in the Middle East. Although I voted for Trump and largely support his actions, he needs to step away from his bellicosity. He apparently has no filter in the White House. I get it, many Freepers think it’s great when Trump rages on. That works well in the pugilistic nature of New York politics, but it’s wearying for us in flyover country.

Ronald Reagan essentially ended the Cold War without firing a shot, and had to deal with Democrat majorities most of the time. The prospect of a lame duck Trump during the last two years of his presidency doesn’t appeal to me, except for the massive gridlock that will occur.

Did Alex Jones call for the impeachments of Bush, Odinga, or Biden -- for the 20+ years of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

No??? Then Alex can just STFU, and take a long swim with his Traitor friends Candace, Tucker, and the others.

August 28, 1793, in a letter from Philadelphia to South Carolina Governor William Moultrie. "Having conceived an opinion highly favourable to General Pickens, I invited him to repair to this City in order that I might obtain from him such facts & information as would be essential to an offensive Expedition against the refractory part of the Creek nation, whenever Congress should decide that measure to be proper & necessary. The Constitution vests the power of declaring War with Congress, therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject, and authorised such a measure."

Yes, Washington I believe wound up not deploying troops in GA.

But at that time, in the NW territories(Ohio), I don't think Washington asked for a formal "Declaration of War" for the NW Indian War.

I believe Congress did legislate to fund the war, including funding the state militias and federal troops.

So there, I believe is an example of Washington commanding the troops and Congress only funding the troops.

Maybe Alex Jones got a better $$$$ offer from the other side - you know, the ones that broke him.

Should I dare to mention the Left always said the Right was filled with whackos? Not us, of course. Or, uh, most of us.

Their side has the View, MS Now, CNN, James Carville, Talarico, Platner and too many others to list.

Years ago, posts from Alex Jones weren’t allowed on FR, if I recall correctly. It might be after he bad-mouthed Michelle Malkin at a support-the-troops rally during Afghan-Iraqistan wars.

If the war in Iran is so necessary why didn’t Pres Trump get the proper authorization? It’s really starting to look bad for Trump. I know several independents/liberals/Democrats who voted for Trump this time because he claimed to be anti-war, and touted his prior record at not getting the US involved in any wars.

These people feel massively betrayed and will likely not vote for another Republican again.

Alex needs to make money somehow, just spouting whatever may get them more clicks and a few bucks. Just like Tucker and many others.

Alex Jones says many things. Like a broken clock, every now and again he is correct.

Here he is completely ‘Pelosi’ crazy.

The whole world is the battlefield. We learned that profound lesson on 9/11. CENTCOM is in Tampa for goodness sakes.

“Jones understands that only Congress has the authority to initiate a war:”

1. Cite the number of wars that have occurred since WWII.

2. Cite the number of wars since WWII that have been initiated by Congress.

Whatever it takes to get clicks. He knows he will be the darling of the left now. How anyone can listen to that voice is a mystery.
