House approves long-awaited stock trading ‘ban’ — here’s who the largest traders are (ony 4.51 years left)

WASHINGTON — The House passed a sweeping set of restrictions on stock trades by lawmakers and their spouses that was paired with a voter ID provision that scared off many Democrats.

The “Stop Insider Trading Act” cleared the House 232 to 198, with the full support of Republicans and 13 Democrats on board.

This includes Reps. Kathy Castor of Florida, Henry Cuellar of Texas, Don Davis of North Carolina, Jared Golden of Maine, Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey, Marcy Kaptur of Ohio, Susie Lee of Nevada, Jared Moskowitz of Florida, Chris Pappas of New Hampshire, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington, Darren Soto of Florida, and Derek Tran of California.

Republicans are trying to pull a trick this week.

They say we are voting on an “insider trading” bill, but have snuck in massive SAVE Act-style voter suppression measures to it.

This is a GOP effort to sabotage national mail-in voting, disguised as a trading ban.

Complicating things for Democrats was the voter ID provision in the bill, which would’ve required photo identification to cast a ballot.

Given that dynamic, there appears to be little appetite for the “Stop Insider Trading Act” in its current form in the Senate, which is subject to the 60-vote filibuster.

So the Democrat politics are overwhelmingly fighting this bill with the excuse that it includes a voter ID provision. But voter ID is supported by over 70% of Democrat voters, even more so among independents and Republicans. So this clearly indicates the level of corruption and dependence these political leaders have on fraudulent voting schemes. (Though, if there were no voter ID provision, it would be interesting to see how many of them still object to the ban on stock trading and what excuses they could come up with.)

This is all show...The (turns out to be initially I thought he would be good) Speaker Johnson from the state where I reside stated months ago OPENLY that “it costs SO MUCH to represent the American people that it should be OK for them to have access to information to make $ trading stock even though if you or I the unwashed ever did this we would be prosecuted to the FULL extent of the law...but not them. Some are MORE equal than others.

It’s just more campaign fodder for the gop.

We all know every deMS-13 was going to vote against the SAVE Act using the bogus excuse that blacks and married women are too stupid to get an ID. Now they can also be labeled as corrupt insider traders.

It’s more for the left to try to explain.

No, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) does not trade stocks and owns no individual shares. She actively denounces the practice of lawmakers trading stocks and has co-sponsored bipartisan legislation to ban members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks.

She’s not even in the stock market.

The “insider trading” can not be stopped.

A corporation perhaps even an offshore corporation, can be established to maintain the trading capability for a second or third corporation that owns the purchased stock.
