Video Transcript Summary
Summary of the Alex Jones interview with pollster Mark Mitchell (omitting ads/promotions):Mark Mitchell, who rebuilt Rasmussen Reports' accuracy and methodology before leaving, launched HonestPoll.com after being silenced for critical commentary on Trump. He describes pressure from PACs/Trump donors after his polling and analysis warned against certain policies. He positions himself as committed to honest voter representation (in the George Gallup tradition) over pleasing clients.Key Polling Findings & Warnings
- Iran War/Military Action: Mid-January polls (delivered to the White House) showed weak support for using U.S. military force to overthrow the Ayatollah — only 17% strongly approve, 21% somewhat approve, with 47% disapproving. Even among Republicans, only 28% strongly approved. Higher support existed for limited strikes on nuclear sites, but cherry-picking those distracted from broader opposition. Tolerance for U.S. casualties was very low (~half the country wanted zero or <10 deaths).
- Mitchell warned this would suck oxygen from Trump’s domestic agenda, damage U.S. superpower credibility, bases in the region, and global economics — while Iran appeared to gain ground (bases evacuated, ships pulled back). He argues it contradicted what voters wanted and was pushed despite Pentagon intel that the mullahs wouldn’t fall.
Trump Criticism & Political Impact- Trump is betraying his base on affordability/economy (core voter priority), mass deportations/H-1B visas, and by prioritizing foreign entanglements. Approval has slid (e.g., from highs to the 40s/low 40s); enthusiasm is eroding.
- Mitchell met with Trump (arranged with VP involvement) to urge focus on domestic issues, younger voters (who shifted from ~60% to high 30s approval), draining the swamp visibly, and economic populism. He felt Trump was disengaged, more interested in donors/statues/golf talk.
- Result: Trump risks political capital loss, midterm damage, and long-term MAGA erosion. Mitchell predicts natural post-midterm decline; losing Congress could end the broader movement’s momentum. Trump seems focused on legacy over fighting domestic priorities.
Midterms Outlook- Generic ballot favors Democrats (potentially +4 to +9). With redistricting, money (ActBlue), enthusiasm gaps, and special election underperformance, Republicans face serious risk of losing House and/or Senate.
- Headwinds include war fatigue, perceived betrayals, lack of justice/accountability, and circular firing squads on the right (“purification by subtraction”).
Generational/Economic Shifts- Capitalism vs. Socialism: Support for capitalism is collapsing among younger voters (65+ at 65%, drops to 27% for 18-29/Zoomers). Socialism support rises with youth.
- Young people (even many former Trump voters) feel shut out — housing, wages, jobs (H-1B/DEI), relationships. They crave order and economic relief, not stock market gains or boomer-era policies. This creates openings for Democratic socialists despite communism’s failures.
- Mitchell and Vance have discussed economic populism as the needed future for the right: anti-corporatist, wage-focused, anti-monopoly, reforming incentives away from donor/big-business capture.
Future of MAGA/Right- J.D. Vance seen as the strongest current figure for authentic economic populism (understands structure from business/background). Mitchell hopes he distances more but notes the difficulty.
- Israel/AIPAC influence, neocons, and donor dynamics are alienating younger voters and creating backlash. Public wants the Iran action ended (49-35%).
- Broader Fourth Turning dynamics: generational crisis, value shifts, declining boomer influence, rise of internet-shaped younger cohorts demanding change. Republicans risk becoming the “old heads” if they double down on outdated corporatism.
Mitchell stresses polling must prioritize voters over parties/donors. He plans regular national tracking polls at his new independent outlet. The discussion portrays Trump as having squandered a working-class realignment opportunity through foreign policy focus and base antagonization, setting up tough midterms and a post-Trump fight for the right’s direction.

Trump gets all his information from the Sunday Morning shout shows.
Everybody knows that.

“They are scattered around in hundreds of wack-a-mole subterranean military bases throughout the 320,000 square miles of Iran’s mountain terrain.”
In other words, mostly out of the way.

Grime for you to vote for your Democrat freinds , huh? Once again, I have no idea what to make of your gibberish.
You really should learn how to construct logical, complete, and grammatically correct sentences.

I won’t say in detail as I’m pretty sure things are planned already.

All they have to do is periodically launch a drone or missile from one of them at a ship in the strait and it’s locked down.
And by the time your magic radar locates the makeshift launch site and retaliates they are long gone.

As I said, this is the wrong war at the wrong time. Too many people believe in the equivalent of magic: “shock and awe” bombing, which did not work in the past, superman American and Israeli commandos who make Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee look like 90 pound weaklings, pretty young women who light cigarettes from the burning photos of the dead ayatollah somehow toppling a vicious police state. However, if the United States backs away from the really tough and costly measures needed to win and withdraws, it will diminish our position as the world's preeminent power, hand control of a significant portion of the world's energy supplies, and strengthen the hand of Red China, our primary enemy and rival.
Whatever Israel's role in initiating this war, the United States is in it now, and half measures and magic will not work.

How the heck does Trump “censor” a pollster?
Trump is not the media. He can't “censor” anybody.
He can refuse to believe garbage from corrupted pollsters like anybody can and does.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
I have tried explaining multiple times that this is an asymmetric war and not winnable without an invasion and at great cost. To me this is more of an Israeli problem.

You are 100% wrong about that. Trump’s asinine COVID policy in 2020 was driven entirely by polling among neurotic suburban women voters in swing states. The guy was still bragging about “Operation Warp Speed” during the 2024 campaign … until someone on his campaign team with half a brain pointed out that his own supporters would practically boo him off the stage at his campaign rallies whenever he mentioned it.
He doesn’t give a damn about the polls now because he’s not running again.

“And by the time your magic radar locates the makeshift launch site and retaliates they are long gone.”
The radar cited is for distances such as five miles.
One radar might be used to help coordinate defensive killer drones.
Other systems mounted in helicopters might be used to hunt Iranian speedboats that dare venture out.
War is an elaborate game. Sometimes, as in Jordan and with the F-15E, the US can suffer losses.
The US military is very good at war.
Putin’s war dead ~200,000
Trump’s war dead 15
