Background: Just saw an AI vid in which two talking chimps in a car beat up a Maine Senatorial candidate.
Question: Do you think AI vids with violence will eventually end up as prosecutable events? "Battery by artificial intelligence in the First Degree, Class A Felony", GA Code § 16-5-23.6

Lots of funny talking animal AI videos out there . It is obvious to most people , at least, that it is all fiction. Bugs Bunny was fun but I wouldn’t expect a real rabbit to do anything but tear up my garden.

LOL! The maker of the vids will be charged. The chimps will go free.

It’ll probably start in the UK, Ireland, of Germany. Canada, California, or New York. It’ll spread from there. Say around 2032.
Best estimate.

I think the legal question is whether you can show, and thus promote, violence against a real person, even if they are a public figure.
I mean, you can attack people who are public figures to a higher degree than private citizens in the media, because precedent has been set to suggest that when you enter the public arena, you have to expect a higher degree of criticism and libel/slander has a higher bar.
In fictional media, as ridiculous as the violence gets, the victims are characters, so while it seems fairly egregious how much some ‘artistic’ works seem to celebrate (and promote?) violence these days, it cannot be claimed that you are promoting violence against specific individuals.

No, but it will be a misdemeanor - misuse of electrons.

Are you talking two literal chimps, or the figurative “kind?”

If you think about it, this is just the current evolution of political cartoons, which have been around forever.
Many of which have depicted violence toward politicians, and I don't think there have been any prosecutions, at least not here in the USA.

Why would anyone want to watch stuff like that?
