News on Monday that late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) sister, now Sen. Darline Graham Nordone (R-SC), will seek a full term in office after replacing her brother was not welcome by many conservative and MAGA influencers.
Nordone made the announcement in an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity.
“I feel like I can do it. I feel an inner peace about it. Will it be difficult? Yes, absolutely,” Nordone, who has never held elected office before, said about running.
“So you’re inclined to get in? Or have you even made a final decision?” Hannity followed up.
“I’ve made a decision — I’m in,” Nordone declared.
Nordone was appointed to the seat with the blessing of President Donald Trump, who urged South Carolina’s GOP governor to make the move. Many on the right, however, appeared unconvinced of her conservative bona fides.
“Hard pass. Birthright senatorship is idiotic,” reacted Sean Davis, the CEO of the Federalist, to the news.
Ex-Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) added, “Trump continues to fill the Swamp with the worst congressional creatures, including his predictable endorsement of Darline Graham. Are there worse criteria than 1) family name, and 2) pledged unconditional and unconstitutional allegiance and obedience to the president?”

She will not show loyalty to Trump.
At best - she will vote Center-Left.
At worst - she will flip the seat to the Democrat.

I say this not liking the neo-com Lindsey at all.
And it doesn’t mean I prefer her to a solid conservative, but realities...
just watched interview - good to have actual insight into what she thinks. everyone here has been pontificating on zero info in that area. interesting her focus is on kitchen table issues- healthcare costs, groceries, etc. she ran a 100+-person agency for SC that in 7 years became a model for the nation. helping the blind, low-vision people. i look forward to learning more during this short primary season. then people can judge on facts, not their personal projections and animus about Lindsey, their presumptions like i am seeing here.
The unasked question: Were it not for Trump pushing her, would she be running?
