Teddy Roosevelt's SECRET Letter Proves Progressivism Was Always Headed to THIS (YouTube)

The $450 million Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library opened its doors on July 4th. And for the first time, a major institution went accurate about who Roosevelt really was. Glenn Beck says that's actually the problem. Because when you read what TR wrote in his own hand — to Charles Davenport at Cold Spring Harbor on January 3rd, 1913 — the museum isn't making Roosevelt look like a progressive. Roosevelt was a progressive. And that's what the exhibit is hiding.

It might be turning out that one of progressive ideology's greatest triumphs is their conspiracy to coverup who Theodore Roosevelt actually was. Let us recognize, this conspiracy by progressivism has been a successful conspiracy. It has not been a failure.

If America actually knew who TR really was, that one single thing could very well upend modern progressivism. Progressives today still, still ride high on TR's popularity over 100 years after his passing away.

I recorded this Davenport letter almost 15 years ago now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl33G84FDF0

Using terms from 120 years ago and trying to apply them to current situations will often get you in trouble.

Democrat in 1804 does not equate to Democrat today. The same applies to “progressive.” There is not a world in which AOC and TR would be on the same side of most issues.

TR’s brand of progressivism and the progressive movement today are very different things.

Who is using terms from 120 years ago this way?

AOC is not a progressive. AOC is proudly a democratic socialist.

And any democratic socialist 120 years ago? Yes, that would apply to AOC today. Your whole mantra is incorrect.

"TR’s brand of progressivism and the progressive movement today are very different things."

TR’s brand of progressivism and the progressive movement today are very different but equally dangerous things.

(I don't think they're all that different but we can agree to disagree on this other point. Both are equally dangerous)

Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington, Andrew Jackson, like their policies or not, were tough. I don’t have to agree with all of their policies to know these men had fortitude. The modern progressives need a real ‘man’ to identify with, but in action and fortitude, they will never understand Theodore Roosevelt.

Forgive me if I don’t comment on FDR, just occasionally quote him.

Teddy Roosevelt was definitely a progressive, but a Republican Progressive.

Republican Progressives were more for the USA than the Woodrow Wilson internationalist Progressives.

This is true. And i cringe every time I see people comparing the democrat party of today with the democrat party of pre FDR time. I would likely have been a democrat in those days. There is not a single democrat in our government i would even consider voting for today.

TR established National Parks.

A Progressive might set aside federal land to favor moneyed contributors.

Think WJC...

The first National Park, Yellowstone, was established in 1872 when Teddy was 13 or 14 years old.

Theodore Roosevelt is the reason we have the 16th amendment.

I once visited TRs home on Long Island. It’s worth a trip. One interesting thing is he had two .30 caliber rifles equipped with silencers. These were kept by the door so his boys, who got up early, could go down to the waters edge and shoot rats without waking the neighbors.

Now, that’s a considerate neighbor.

There’s no question that TR had some ideas that “we” wouldn’t support but many were common sense and rooted in a deep love for America. With regard to “the letter”, I have to think that if certain individuals were not allowed to reproduce, certain characteristics would be diminished in the gene pool and society would be better for it. But saying anything like that today is the third rail.

OK, name a progressive today that equates with TR?

T.R. could be called a man’s man. Something left in the rubble of The Berlin Wall.

The democratic party of today started it’s demise when Hillary became Senator. Thr emasculation stsryed thete.
