A Florida beach erupted into chaos Wednesday when an ultra-low-altitude Blue Angels flyover sent tents, chairs and umbrellas flying into the air — leaving spectators on the shoreline stunned as the jet engines roared just feet above their heads, wild video shows.
The “Breakfast with the Blues” annual flyover — part of the Pensacola Beach Air Show — sent sunbathers into a frenzy as the specialized US Navy jets flew terrifyingly close to the shore — stirring up clouds of sand and sending beach gear airborne, WEAR News reported.
Tents, beach chairs and umbrellas were tossed around by the thrust from the jet’s engines and some of the gear reportedly hit several people, according to videos posted to social media.
The extent of injuries, if any, is unknown at this point.
Despite the chaos, some beachgoers say they will remember the patriotic air display for a long time to come.
The Blue Angels leadership is reviewing the super low flyover.
“The safety of our hometown community, spectators, and our pilots is our highest priority,” a spokesperson for the specialized Navy demonstration group told WEAR News.
“Team leadership is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the maneuver and conducting a thorough safety review to ensure all operations adhere to strict Navy and FAA safety standards,” the statement said.
The Blue Angels have been doing the thrilling flyover at Pensacola Beach for 80 years, according to WEAR News — an annual tradition that draws in large crowds to the shoreline.
The multi-day annual air show sees as many as 250,000 people visit the town each year to catch a glimpse of the action.

I saw a piece of trash paper blowing around.
Oh, oh, the humanity.
.
Because it was caught on video. If it wasn't, it would have been broomed.
America does not need fighter pilots who constantly stretch the envelope...well, of course, until America actually needs fighter pilots.
All of them.
Engrish your second language?

Oh for goodness sakes! I missed the part about this being in Pensacola. Whadya think goes on in Pensacola fer chrissakes. T.B. Yoits you need to tell Hegseth that these guys/gal need grounding because your beach towel got some sand on it. I am sure he will get right on it. PS what is your service history so we can speculate on the outcomes.
Believe it or not we've got a couple right here on this form.
Yeah, mock away. Then take a look at the video and be honest with yourself as to whether or not it was safe.
My service history is irrelevent. The event stands alone.
But while on active duty I worked air shows, including the Thunderbirds and yes, the deck altitude and "no energy toward the crowd" were sacrosant. Since our squadrons had personnel and work areas on the flightline, we were responsible for identify areas that would have military personnel, and which of those areas needed to have civilians excluded because of the patterns and altitudes the performers were flying.
In addition to military aircraft such as the Thunderbirds, A-10s, B-2s, SR-71s, etc., we coordinated for civilian teams such as the Smirnoff MiG aerobatic team.
As for "speculating on the outcomes", I have no idea what that even means.
“What level of experience or knowledge lets you make that statement?
Are you a fighter pilot?”
I think you got your (no) answer
Not with a phone. Fingers barely work anymore. You the grammar patrol?
I would most certainly enjoy that, I will definitely plan on it, thanks again!
“Those are our planes now.”
Some people need to toughen-up. What pathetic wimps!
