The head of one the country’s top medical schools sparked outrage during a tense House hearing after refusing to say that only women can get pregnant.
Dr. Sam Hawgood, chancellor of the University of California San Francisco, was pressed by Washington lawmakers Tuesday over the school’s guidelines against using the term “pregnant women,” while testifying about the impact of DEI initiatives in medical schools.
“Doctor Hawgood, you see UCSF’s Classroom Guide, titled ‘Framework for Gender and Sex Concepts in Teaching,’ advises against using the term ‘pregnant women,'” Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois said.
“Instead, it says to use ‘pregnant people.’ Who are ‘pregnant people’ compared to ‘pregnant women’? Just curious.”
“So, that is a part of a curriculum to help our students who are facing a wide diversity of patients,” Hawgood replied. “Of course, a vast majority of pregnancies are in women. And I have absolutely no problem with using the word pregnant women. I use it myself.”
Miller shot back, asking the doctor if a “non-biological” woman could carry a child.
“A transgender person can,” Hawgood replied.
“That’s not a biological woman,” Miller responded, asking again if a “non-biological woman ever had a baby?”
“I would reiterate,” Hawgood started, before Miller interjected: “No, it’s ridiculous.”
“We take care of transgender patients,” the chancellor finished.

If he told you about what they were teaching about “overpopulation” and the need for people to die childless, well, that has been the dominant thesis in medical schools for at least 50 years.
Great. More insanity introduced into the medical industry.
Does he ride the short bus to medical school?
A male ‘Doctor’ has a woman questioner asking that question.
He has to know how foolish his line of reasoning appears at that moment. Women know what they exclusively can do, but does the ‘Doctor’? Somebody better send him the Memo.
Dr. Hawgood is a physician. He knows the truth.
But he is probably too cowed to say what he really believes.
This reminds me of an old Soviet joke:

I think medical professionals should instantly lose their license over crap like this. It’s like an auto mechanic claiming not to know what part of the car makes the thing “go”. What’s that? You don’t know? Well, you’re in the wrong line of work. Perhaps you should work at a coffee shop.
He actually said, “They don’t recognize themselves as a woman.” That indicates, to me at least, he believes they are women but is afraid to say it.

Liberals/socialists are for science except when they are against it. Like when they want to murder babies by incorrectly redefining them as not a human being, like when they don’t want to admit only biological women (ok save potentially hermaphrodites, possibly) can get pregnant. Like only men have a penis. They demand we accept science but they reject real science that goes against the woke agenda talking points and mantras.

Now we read about Chinese billionaires paying American women tô act as surrogates for thê children they can’t have in China with one person reportedly having over 100 children.
