A naked man was arrested over the weekend in Portland, Oregon, after he attempted to kidnap a 7-year-old girl from her mother at a waterfront park, according to police.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday, Portland Police received reports of a naked man running around Tom McCall Waterfront Park, with one of the callers saying the man had attempted to punch them in the head.
But police said all officers were busy responding to other calls and were not available at the time.
About 12 minutes later, another caller reported that the suspect had grabbed a young girl and attempted to pull her away from her mother.
Officers then responded to the scene and found the nude suspect swimming nearby in the Willamette River.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. But given this happened in a woke, “progressive” city:
Sad possibly #1: A leftist DA might decide the citizens used too much force. So one or more of them get arrested.
Sad possibly #2: A personal injury lawsuit might decide the citizens used too much force. So one or more of them get sued.
Again, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
But it sure isn’t Eisenhower’s America any more.

Hey, it was gender-neutral. Stop hating on its inability to discern whether it has a weinie or not - maybe it was indian with one of those massive pot bellies and couldn’t see it. Or maybe it had already been cut off by the father of the previous kid before it was released without bond by Obama’s second cousin thrice removed Federal judger.
The cops certainly weren’t busy busting drug users and dealers at that park. Last time I had to go to that fetid dump there were bums and junkies smoking dope all over and the bike cops just kept cruising.
Thought they would have tackled the mother and held her till police got there to arrest her for hurting the feelings of the naked man by resisting his attack

That is why as soon as the police arrive, I would melt into the crowd and slowly walk away.
Who the hell goes to Portland for a vacation?! The sad thing is this pos will probably get off Scott free as the family likely won't come back for the trial.
Parents who bring children to vacation in Portland are deficient in thought or knowledge, probably both. That goes for the woke portions of California and Washington.
Easy for a Portland jury- innocent for the naked man, guilty for the mother who denied something to a person in a protected group.
There is that. But I’ll take that chance if someone tries to hurt one of my kids.

Another way to be safe is to make sure that you have a round chambered.
The problem with a leg shot is that a man will bleed to death pretty quickly if you shoot him in the leg unless you have surgical precision or completely miss an artery. Even a 9mm will open up a leg pretty significantly unless it is just flesh.
And, you don’t want to do any life saving on a dirtball. And, if you are held liable the special damages (doctor bills lost wages etc) for a DOA are about 10% of what they will be for a survivor with one leg.
