Massive bull bison tosses Yellowstone tourist into the air like a ragdoll in shocking attack

A massive bull bison tossed a tourist into the air, seriously injuring him, in a heart-pounding caught-on-camera attack at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

Video shows the unidentified man being thrown 8 feet in the air like a ragdoll by the wild bison at the Bridge Bay Campground Friday, Cowboy State Daily reported.

The tourist was walking with his grandson when the powerful herbivore attacked.

Video shows the man running around a copse of pines to try to escape the bull, which was giving itself a dust bath moments earlier.

The bison suddenly charged the two tourists, and then viciously head-butted the older bearded man — catapulting him into the air.

One of the 1970s herd at Ft Riley tried to run off our Spring Fire Army Guardsmen by headbutting a Deuce-and-half. Caved in a door and fender.

A bison often looks like just a grazing, docile cow. They are very dangerous to be around. A Bison is so strong, it can leap a six-foot high fence without needing a running start.

Without a doubt my all-time favorite videos to watch especially on Facebook are the Mexican culture riding bulls that outweigh them by a thousand pounds plus.

So now they’re going to kill the bull for being a bull, right? I hope not.

“ In Texas, we call “tourists” like this idiot a rodeo clown.”

Watch the video. The guy did nothing wrong

It's pretty funny at 2x speed and Benny Hill's Yakety Sax music running in your head.

I am more curious about that picnic table. What a mess it appears to be with empty cardboard boxes thrown on the ground, one of which is on fire. Was the Slob family dining at that table?

Thank you. In watching that, I felt kind of bad for the guy. It’s hard to tell how far away he was, but he did try to get out of the way and conceal himself before the thing even ran after him. He did the smart thing while it was rolling around on the ground and tried to conceal himself in the trees, but dang that thing had a bee under its bonnet about him just being in the area and was determined to chase him down.

Just another reminder, I guess, that you can’t be far enough away from certain types of wildlife to be safe from it.

I’ve seen lots of videos of people getting thrown by those bison, but they’re doing absolutely brain dead stupid things. I saw one recently that showed this attractive young woman walking up to a bison with her hand out talking to it like a pet and saying things like I just wanna pet you…

I think all I got out of that video was a camera jumbling and seeing sky in ground in sky in ground after that…

What was the last thing the grandfather said to the kid just before the buffalo threw him?

My original thought was, "Some touron got way to close again, trying to get a selfie." But that was definitely not the case this time - a bull bison in rut decided it didn't like a grandpa walking with his grandson inside a campground, reportedly charged from 100 yards away, and tossed the old gent 8 feet in the air. Didn't get gored, but hope he doesn't die from a broken hip or something...

Your stupid mom and my stupid dad.
Same story. I was just a kid when dad spotted the baby bear cubs at Yellowstone.
He was about to take the picture of the black bear cubs when momma bear comes roaring out of the bushes. We run like mad to the car and just make it.
Dad got his picture. Of the mama bear full face and teeth against the car window.

Dad’s version is he shot the bear with his camera.

While not doing anything stupid, maybe the man was too close, which is not exactly a brilliant thing to do around bison. Some might see it as doing something supid. I wasn’t there, so I don’t really know.

Bison don’t see very well past thirty or forty yards so anything that gets too close is considered a threat.

These aren’t Disney animals who are suddenly go to tell jokes and break into song and dance.

How can people be so dumb?
