Warning To Kim: Nuclear Weapons Do Leave ‘Fingerprints’
American Thinker ^ | 12 Jul, 2026 | James Zumwalt

Yet another ceasefire with Iran has been violated by its madman mullahs, triggering U.S. military action in response. Whether Iran’s actions are the result of a firmly entrenched new leadership or the result of an internal struggle to achieve that status remains uncertain. Regardless, however, that uncertainty brings into focus a major concern over whether a regime player will reach out to accept an outside offer of nuclear assistance.

We don’t know whether North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, 44, was simply attempting to promote his tough guy image or was serious, but a comment he made last year needs to be addressed as Iran’s desire for a nuke drives it to do whatever is necessary to get one.

The personal relationship between President Donald Trump and Kim began with their 2018 summit. It marked an historic diplomatic engagement between the two countries. The resulting relationship has been described as mixed, demonstrating moments both of hostility and diplomacy.

However, in June of 2025, Kim made a comment that can only be interpreted as clearly being hostile. He reported his country had offered to provide Iran with nuclear weapons assistance. The thought of Pyongyang’s madman helping Tehran’s madmen should be most disturbing to the West.

What is unknown is the exact nature of such assistance. Would it involve nuclear warhead design or technology, missile delivery system technology, scientific and military collaboration or something even more worrisome—selling Iran one of North Korea’s own nukes? In the aftermath of the mullahs most recent ceasefire violation, Trump warned a nuclear-armed Iran would not hesitate to use such a weapon.

It has been my concern that North Korea or Pakistan would sell Iran some nukes.

Every nuclear bomb would leave a fingerprint that would trace the material to a specific lab. It’s not something that can be hidden. It would take just a few minutes to identify the source of the nuclear material used in any “event.”

North Korea is not going to sell anyone a nuke. That would be suicidal. Nor would the Paks; their’s are for India.

How many conventional wars did these two countries avoid as a result of gaining nukes? How many people didn’t die? Probably millions. The same would happen with Iran gaining nukes. Israel would have to figure out a way to live peacefully in the region without levelling city blocks full of innocents to get one bad guy.
The value of nukes lies in mutually assured destruction, not in actually using them

"... not in actually using them."

An insane apocalyptic murder cult can disrupt that logic chart pronto.

I agree but I firmly believe that if Iran nukes Tel Aviv, then Tehran would be nuked shortly thereafter.

The logical strength of MAD has no value in Iran. They pray five-times-a-day to die 'sword in hand' as a ticket to heaven. Your position is ill-advised.

No. Unlike Iran, the leaders of North Korea and Pakistan aren’t apocalyptic madmen. The nuclear deterrence strategy (Mutually Assured Destruction — MAD) that works for most nations doesn’t work with mad mullah types. They’ll use them in hopes of bringing about the 12th Imam.

North Korea is fighting a conventional war in Europe.

Nice rant. Does your solution apply to religious fanatics as well?

It’s not just that Tel Aviv and/or Tehran would get nuked in your scenario.

The bigger question would be, does the nuclear war spin out of control.

If it was determined that North Korea provided the nuke to Tehran, would Israel be obligated to nuke North Korea, then what, would North Korea respond by attempting to nuke the USA.

It’s one of those questions that has no good answer and hopefully never has to be answered.

The Jericho III’s will be flying en masse

Perhaps even the rumoured Jericho IV

Note to the Twelver Shia Mullahs:

THERE AREN’T 72 VIRGINS

Mad Mo was a false prophet

Sorry 😐

This is 100% warmongering BS from US MIC, military think tanks, the CIA and the Mossad. The claim that Twelver Shi’a doctrine teaches that national suicide guarantees heaven and therefore Iran would immediately use nuclear weapons against Israel is NOT supported ANYWHERE by scholarship on Shi’a Islam.

What Twelver Shi’a Islam actually teaches
* The Mahdi will return at God’s chosen time, NOT because humans force the event.
* Muslims should strive for justice and moral living while awaiting his return.
* Suicide is forbidden.
* Unjustified killing of civilians is forbidden.

None of these facts is pleasing to shareholders of Boeing, General Dynamics and Raytheon

It’s like saying that the concept of Christian or Catholic martyrdom in defense of the faith is proof that that Christians want to die to secure a place in heaven and the west is suicide cult in that pursuit. No one questions the retardation of this constant narrative pouring out of Israel to goad us into war.

THE WORLD CUP IS PROOF THAT, IF IT WEREN’T FOR OUR LEADERS, THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD WOULD GET ALONG JUST FINE.

Less we forget, it was Bill Clinton who gave North Korea nuclear technology and it was Bill Clinton who allowed Laurel corporation to sell rocket guidance technology to China, who in turn gave it to North Korea. I’d say Bill Clinton committed treason with both of those acts.

Sane countries only. Iran actively wants to get some and use them. Retaliation is to be desired, as it will send them to Paradise.

You mistake 12er Shia for the garden variety of Shia, which only calls for world conquest, if they can kill all the Sunnis.

12er Shia does call for bringing the 12th Imam back from the well he climbed into in 825AD. His armies will sweep the world killing every living human & then themselves, bringing everyone to Paradise.
