Former Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has been brutally roasted online for 'hopping like a rabbit' in a bizarre new video promoting his girlfriend, Katy Perry's new song.
Perry, 41, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a clip of her and some pals dancing to her latest hit Watch It Burn, which dropped on June 25.
The singer, who donned a polka-dotted red romper and thigh-high socks, jumped up and down to the beat with her friends as she mouthed along to the lyrics.
At one point, her boyfriend Trudeau, 54, dressed in khaki pants and a green T-shirt, joined in on the fun and was seen hopping around in the background.
'Ancient texts say that if you hop to this song you will get 1,000 years of good luck,' Perry captioned the video.
It quickly went viral and was reshared all over X, as many people poked fun at Trudeau for his dance moves.
'Former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau is promoting Katy Perry's new song... by hopping like a rabbit. 2026 is wild,' one user wrote.
'Bro forgot he was once [prime minister] of a nation,' joked another. '[Oh] how a relationship changes a man, it’s insane.'
'Disgraceful that Trudeau is doing this! He is [13] years her senior,' slammed someone else.
'The concept of the ex prime minister of the second biggest country in the world doing a Katy Perry TikTok challenge,' read a fourth post.
A fifth said: 'How unserious is Canada as a country? This man was their Prime Minister, and he’s now a background character in a Katy Perry video.'

I have wonderful Canadian friends, but the fact that Canada voted this guy in to govern them is a bit damning.

They’d be more enthusiastic if she asked them out on a date.
