Andrew Moran, the economics editor at Liberty Nation News, writes that Canada seems to be quietly revising the core tenets of its “climate change” religion. Under a headline that bluntly announces, “Canada Admits Justin Trudeau’s Climate Agenda Was a Scam,” and a lede that asks, “Is it too little, too late for the struggling nation?” Moran analyzes a seventeen-minute YouTube video that Prime Minister Mark Carney published on June 30.
In that video, Carney states that Canada can no longer afford to pursue the lofty “green energy” goals established by his predecessor, Justin Trudeau, which, among other directives, required Canada to cut its “greenhouse gas emissions” by nearly 50% of its 2005 levels by 2030. (For what it’s worth, the U.S. has greatly outperformed its parasitic neighbor up North with regard to emissions reductions, even though being “green” has become a big part of Canadians’ warped self-image.) While Carney makes it clear that he remains a climate cultist at heart, his “fireside chat” with Canadians looks like a “rally ‘round the flag” pep talk meant to encourage his fellow climate-change-communists to bite their tongues for the sake of taking on President Trump. Calling Trudeau’s environmental edicts “expensive” and “divisive” while paying lip service to Alberta’s energy industry in a year when the province’s conservative citizens are pushing hard for secession from the United Kingdom’s pet realm in North America, Canada’s premier central-banker-turned-prime-minister grudgingly admits that his ice commune cannot survive much longer by depending upon welfare handouts and free security from the United States.
“The climate crisis is still with us, and our commitment to fighting it is absolute,” Carney assures “global warming” zealots who see the productive use of hydrocarbon molecules as mortal sins leading to eternal damnation. “But the certainties of the world of 2015 are long gone,”

It served as the vehicle for the largest wealth transfer in history primarily benefiting its architects and backers. It was a propaganda masterpiece that real science finally exposed as delusion and lies.

We here in the Great White North can thank the spoiled brat women voters in 416/905 for the current state of affairs.
Canada has the lowest purchasing power parity per capita of all the Western nations - $40K vs. $75K for the US and $65K for the next highest - Germany. Even the UK, which is viewed as relatively poor in the West, is at $55K. Canada used to be close to the US and higher than Europe. They pissed it all away over the past two decades. One of the reasons is their insane and costly “green energy” policies.
They have a population consisting of Non-Canadiens that are America haters
Canada has vast amounts of resources in the mining, energy and forestry sectors... Sadly... Liberal governments has squashed all attempts to harness these resources and enrich our country.
Carney doesn’t really care about the environment... He cares about making more money for himself and his buddies, and he’s on a torrid pace to do just that before the country roundly rejects him in the next election. He knows that he’s a one term Prime Minister, so he’s going to make the most of it by filling his pockets and adding the title ‘Former Prime Minister of Canada’ to his CV.

I think it's a scheme between left-wing professors and left-wing politicians. The professors get the grant money, and the politicians get close to the absolute power they so crave.
Go for “Net Zero,” Canada. We want to see you shiver under the mandates of the whacky politicians you elect next winter.
The only reason California cannot reach zero carbon emissions by 2030 is that The regulators won’t allow California utilities to build an of solar plants or battery storage. There’s enough unused photocell production capacity in China to build out the entire California infrastructure in a matter of several months; the reason it will take to 2030 to do this is only that’s the amount of time it would take for California to expand its battery supply enough to match that solar energy supply at current growth rates.

In Scottsdale, we saw how many Canadians are not too bright.
Very nice but too many are just minions doing what they are told.
Many walked away from prime property they owed in Scottsdale because Canada told the Americans are evil.
After the sell off, prices are going back up.
