Looks unimpressive to me.
Erdogan looks very old and wobbly which is very good
Erdogan is the devil and I dont like Trump being within 100 yards of him
They really want those F-35’s.
Just more politics.
Just more BS.
China stole the plans for the F-35 many years ago but they can’t get the never ending software up dates which is the F-35 and Erdogan would sell them everything
Bush the Second said Islam is a religion of peace. Bush the Third is giving them more air fighters.
I’ve been all over the world and Turkey was my favorite country. Polite people,, great food, interesting ruins. I even went into some famous turkish Mosque without a veil on and men inside smiled at me and nodded “OK”.
so, not too surprised at this warm greeting. Let’s see what happens at their meeting.
They are counting on appearances making the deal, not substance.
Hyperbolic headline is hyperbolic.
That easy to diminish their effectiveness? Just withhod the software?
Erdogan is very tall. Most turks are not.
It’s inherently aerodynamically unstable without computer control. Completely fly by wire.
The only country with the software keys is Israel and that’s because they knew how to make it better and gave us the improvements.
I’m sure Israel isn’t excited about Turkey getting their work.

President Trump Arrives in Ankara, Turkey for NATO Summit – Brilliant Videos

From link:
You have to really understand the NATO relationship with Turkey, Recep Erdogan and, well, essentially the Muslim Brotherhood, to understand the dynamics at play.
Turkish President Recep Erdogan is a perfectly Turkish man of notoriously intemperate disposition.
Erdogan wears many masks; however, unlike many leaders he does so publicly. He will say whatever is needed to make the ‘West’ think they have upper hand, while doing exactly the opposite.
Erdogan will decry terrorism, take in Syrian refugees and simultaneously kill Kurds, and provide safe harbor for the worst elements of The Muslim Brotherhood (political Islam). No one sleeps in Erdogan’s camp without one eye open and a weapon under their pillow.
The ‘West’ hates his duplicity and leverage. The Russians don’t trust him an inch. The Arabs think he’s sketchy, and the Persians tolerate him. However, Erdogan is centered in the Gateway between the Middle East and Europe; even Turkey’s geography is critical.
There is only one guy in global politics who interacts with Recep Erdogan in a way that generates mutual respect; that guy is Donald Trump. The skillset that Trump carries is his lack of pretending, his brutal honesty in every interaction. Trump could be standing next to Erdogan at a presser, answer a question and say, “He’s a strong man, he’s probably lying, but that’s ok, I like him, it’s strong politics, you can’t be weak we will figure it out.”…. To wit Erdogan won’t flinch an inch but smile inside.
In a weird way, 99% of the viewing public will not understand the dynamic of this relationship, but it’s funny. If there was one global leader who would be disliked by NATO more than Erdogan, it’s probably Trump. The two non-pretending leaders -absolutely critical for everything- have a great deal of mutual respect for each other. There’s a reason why the notoriously insufferable NATO manipulator met President Trump at the airport, with an official greeting.
There’s a reason why President Erdogan arranged a state arrival ceremony and honor guard review for President Trump in Ankara..
People in that region know Trump wants peace...
How else to explain this and the UAE and other Arab states standing with us against Iran? Flying in on a gift from the royal family of Qatar to the United States didn’t hurt either... Trump wants to end that area’s forever and forever wars - wars dragging down the world.
when I was in turkey, the people were delighted to see Americans. especially an american woman without a veil.
A story published in Israeli media says China is partnering with Iran.
Yet the Israelis sold a lot of dangerous high tech to China.....
<><>Israel sells its own tech.......
<><>and sells tech Israel gets from the US for being our “greatest ally.”
The US has criticized Israel’s persistent tech sales to China, fearing
China’s abuse of US tech will harm the safety an security of American families.
Israel sold technology to upgrade Chinese tanks and planes and also transferred or licensed the Python missile technology (leading to China’s PL-8 missile), the EL/M-2035 Doppler radar, and the Tamam inertial navigation system.
China is Israel’s 2nd largest trading partner,
with total trade value reaching a whopping $24.45 billion.
BACKSTORY-—Trump and Biden restricted sensitive technological exports to China. As a result, China turned to cooperative Israel. China’s direct investment in Israel’s IT industry, especially in chips and semiconductors, now has increased.
Speaking before a gathering of business people from both countries, the Israeli prime minister encouraged China “to assume its rightful place… on the world stage. We are your perfect junior partner for that effort,” Netanyahu added. “…I believe this is a marriage made in heaven.”
In 2017, Israeli PM Netanyahu said China accounts for one-third of the investment in Israeli high technology, which includes US military technology the US shares w/ Israel, its strongest ally. In the ’90s, Israel sold military equipment and technologies to China, including the Harpy missile system.
This incident chilled relations between the United States and Israel, with Israel being suspended from its status as Security Cooperative Participant in the Joint Strike Fighter program. However, on 6 November 2005, Israel stated that it has been re-admitted into the program.
The US had to pressure Israel to stop sharing US military technology w/ China. Yet Israel still doesn’t restrict China from acquiring dual-usage technologies that could have military implications against the US.
A succession of US administrations warned Israel about its growing tie with China, sharing concern about China using Israel as a backdoor to access sensitive technologies from the US.
The most vocal objection to Sino-Israeli ties came from the Trump administration. When former Secy of State Mike Pompeo visited Israel in 2019, he warned Israelis that the CCP “engages in spying through its commercial state-owned enterprises and presents risk through its technology systems. Pompeo said China’s actions posed a risk.
Unfortunately, Israel largely brushed aside the warnings. Like many other countries, China’s massive market has enticed Israel. Plus, the Israeli government hopes China’s good relationships with Arab nations may help Israel.
Netanyahu was working on a Sino-Israeli free trade agreement and planned to visit China. But China’s siding w/ Hamas alerted Israel’s leaders to the reality that Communist China’s relationship with Israel is purely transactional.
