A migrant driver of a semi-truck was arrested and charged with running down and killing a Chicago man who was trying to change his tire alongside a suburban highway late in June.
The accident occurred early in the morning of June 24 when 24-year-old Sebastian Stone pulled off to the side of I-80 near Torrence Ave. to change a flat tire. While in the process of changing the tire, Stone was struck and killed by a semi-truck, which did not stop after running him down, CWBChicago reported.
Police were called to the scene by witnesses, and officers found Stone dead on the side of the road.
Witnesses described the truck that struck the stranded motorist and gave police the license plate number, the name of the company on the side of the truck, and the truck’s company ID number. By 9 a.m., police had confirmed the witness statements with license plate reader data.
Officials also confirmed that the semi was being driven by Kulgeet Kang, 34, whose name is of Punjabi origin and common among Sikh communities.

So very sad……
Why does this kind of stuff continue? Three guesses.
North America Punjabi Truckers Association. WTH?
Same as they do back home
Sikhs believe in one eternal, formless God and the absolute equality of all humanity. The religion focuses on three core pillars: meditating on God’s name, earning an honest living, and sharing with the less fortunate. They strictly reject caste systems, superstitions, and blind rituals.
When it’s handy for them?.

Officials confirmed the killer was on his phone driving a semi using an illegal CDL.
Kulgeet Kang's name is of Punjabi origin and is a common name among Sikh communities.
=========================================================
The trucking company and whoever gave this creep a CDL need to be prosecuted bigtime.
High time we get rid of these people.
“Kulgeet Kang, 34, whose name is of Punjabi origin and common among Sikh communities.”
“They’re not sending their best.”

But I was told Americans don’t want to be truckers and that we must import tens of millions of third world inhabitants to do the jobs Americans want to do.
He may be foreign, but he was Americanized in this one lethal way.
In reality this is not an immigrant issue as much as people in general are addicted to their phones. I see all sorts of people driving with their phones in their hands and looking at them. Mainly younger people, especially women.
A Palestinian told me his brother ran over a small boy with his truck. The brother threw his body in the bed and dumped it. The alternative is getting seized and held by the boy’s family until he pays all the money that boy might have earned. (All cultures are the same.)
Drag him out of the truck and shoot him in the face.
Send his head back to Punjab in a cardboard box.
Then do the same to the owner of the company.

Kang was using a cell phone when he killed an American.
Can the government search your cell phone data without a warrant?
Generally, no. Under the Fourth Amendment, the government must obtain a warrant based on probable cause to search the digital contents of your cell phone. This protection also extends to your historical cell phone location data and geofence tracking.
However, there are a few major exceptions and gray areas where warrantless searches are permitted or heavily debated:
Consent: If you freely and voluntarily give police permission to look through your phone, they do not need a warrant.
The government maintains that Fourth Amendment protections do not apply at international borders. Customs agents often claim the authority to seize and conduct advanced searches of electronic devices without a warrant.
Law enforcement agencies sometimes bypass traditional warrant requirements by purchasing commercial location data directly from third-party data brokers.
Police can access your phone without a warrant if there is an immediate, life-threatening emergency (e.g., an active kidnapping or a missing person).
“Or their brightest”.
Kuljeet Kang is being prosecuted for reckless homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Prosecutors allege that the 34-year-old tractor-trailer driver was using his phone when he struck and killed 23-year-old Sebastian Stone on I-80 in the Chicago suburbs, subsequently failing to stop or render aid.
A Cook County judge ordered Kang detained while awaiting trial, stating that his profession as a truck driver makes it impossible for the court to effectively restrict his use of electronic devices.
Trucking companies don’t “give” CDLs, states do.
He looks like he’s not all there…
"The Sikh workforce makes up about 40 percent of truck drivers on the West Coast and about 20 percent nationwide, meaning there are at least 150,000 Sikh truckers working in the U.S."
So expect more of this - caused by "Sikh" drivers:
Harjinder Singh, an Indian-origin driver, was charged with killing three people in Florida on August 12, 2025, after allegedly making a reckless U-turn on the Florida Turnpike.
Jashanpreet Singh was arrested in California on October 21, 2025, for a crash that killed three people; toxicology reports indicated he was under the influence of a banned substance, and he was identified as an undocumented immigrant.
