While news reports have focused on the Middle East for most of 2026, the war in Ukraine has intensified and its potential for continental spillover increased. Also, there is evidence suggesting the globalists are fomenting escalation. Writers for the Council on Foreign Relations say that America should prepare to join Central and Western Europe in an eventual war against Russia. A Russian spokesperson recently appeared on a popular American podcast saying that, at this rate, the conflict is indeed heading toward another world war.
State-controlled Russian media reported on Friday that a Ukrainian drone attack killed five Russian civilians and injured another 18. These are the latest casualties resulting from weeks of intense strike exchanges between the Russians and Ukrainians. The day before, Russia hit Ukraine’s capital, reportedly killing 27 and injuring dozens of other civilians.
Ukraine has, by all accounts, ratcheted up the pressure on Russia with effective attacks inside the Motherland that have disrupted energy flow, flights, and civilian life in general. The point of the attacks, Ukraine’s leaders have said, is to bring the consequences of the war to the Russian people with the larger goal of making Russia more amenable during negotiations…

“Maybe it is just a realistic view of profit seeking.”
Its a simplistic view that takes consequences and imputes the consequences as the cause.
Ikes view was concerned with (1) balancing military vs domestic spending needs, and (2) military spending that represented military needs, not spending just to reward the military industries, and (3) the military industries influence, via congress and the military, over those things. He was not advocating that the military industries were attempting to provoke us into war for their benefit.
War with Russia worked out real well for the armies of France and Germany. The American people could never stand the casualties suffered in any military conflict with Russia.
Only an ignorant fool would engage in a land war on the Asian continent.
At north lattitude 55°, cooling systems are not required
Lots of poorly managed resources in Russia thanks to Feudalism, the Bolsheviks, Christian persecution, a fake, idolatry-based church, an overbearing state, multiple world wars and the rampant corruption and personal abuse they all bring.
We could do it better. A new set of educated, mercantalist, Western style Boyars and Russia will return to it’s 19th Century leadership example.
Lol. True.
Short of Russia attacking the US directly, only a suicidal fool would engage war with Russia.
Nukes are real. Russia has a lot of them. US intel assesses they work.
Things have progressed a bit in 70 years.
Washington D.C. is now a major industry.
The D.C. metro area has a population of 6.4 million people.
All of those people don't just support war and its tools but a good many do.
These people are lined up at the Federal Hog Trough and working hard to make sure the tax payers keep it full.
Lobbyist for the war machine are working harder than most.
There is nothing un-Conservative about noticing that many in government associated with arms suppliers advocate the continuing of the forever wars.
Ever notice how supplying the Ukraine with more money for arms has no problem getting a vote but the Save America act does.
“All of those people don’t just support war and its tools but a good many do.”
You can’t have it both ways. Either “all those people” “support war” or just a “good many do”.
“There is nothing un-Conservative about noticing that many in government associated with arms suppliers advocate the continuing of the forever wars. “
Ever notice how that is a premise, a belief, without foundation, because it again tries to impute consequences- arms needed for a foreign policy, as the cause and driver of the policy - no evidence.
Upon first glance of the headline, I figured this would be about Lindsay Graham.
“Ever notice how supplying the Ukraine with more money for arms has no problem getting a vote but the Save America act does. “
Ever notice how people, like you, ignore the congressional facts. Money matters can get passed in both houses on simple majority votes. Policy matter with no financial stake, such as the Save America act, needs to get passed the filibuster, and 51 votes is not enough for THAT.
There are as many GOP votes in the House for the Save America act as there were for money for Ukraine.
If Thune wanted to break the filibuster on his watch he could pass the Save America Act. The difference is procedural in the Senate not greater interest in support for Ukraine.
I would speculate that China is their paymaster and has been for decades. which is why they’re steering attention away.
Correlation does not equal causation but it does give one reason to suspect causation.
And when you are talking about the personal relationships between people with common interest one does not need to conspiracy to have those people work towards the same goal.
Even if the people don’t realize that their interest affect their actions they do.
“Correlation does not equal causation but it does give one reason to suspect causation.”
Yes, it creates suspicions and by mere suspicions imputes fault. A dangerous game.
For centuaries, Russia was ruled by a Czar, with a nobility, and vast numbers of serfs.
Today Russia has regressed to the mean.
Vladimir Putin is accepted and honored as the Czar, the oligarchs are the same nobility that actually run every day life and the present population are still the serfs that live everyday and actually get things done.
Russians are most comfortable with the Czar, nobility, serf condition. All in Russia have allowed the old system to re evolve. It’s in their bones, perhaps even there genes
The US is not going to war with Russia. 🙄
Wonderful. The greater threat is China.
Hasn’t the US been preparing for war with Russia since at least 1945? The Military-Industrial-Intel Complex is terrified that there might be a day when the US does not need to be prepared for war with Russia/China/Grenada, etc.
I think Grenada was an important part of the end of the Russian war machine of the time.
It was bold statement by Reagan and helped end Russia’s penetration into this quiet part of the world.
All that kind of talk is babbling nonsense.
Here's the truth of it:
