German supporters left Boston shell-shocked on Monday after their World Cup squad fell to a scrappy Paraguay team in a penalty shootout during the Round of 32. The devastation, it seems, has broken even the team’s most optimistic and joyful supporter.
Freddy, or @FreddyLA7 as his handle would read, became the viral sensation of this World Cup. A wide-eyed German youngster, Freddy gained a (seemingly organic) following in the lead-up to the World Cup by posting his travels throughout the United States, discovering the innocent joys of late-night Taco Bell, diverse landscapes, and Ella Langley as he and his German buddies traversed the country.
Freddy’s X account skyrocketed in popularity as the month of June went on, and the anonymous German started meeting with the likes of JJ Watt and NASA astronauts, and seemingly any other person or brand looking for an instant injection of free publicity.
But now, fewer than 24 hours of Germany’s defeat, Freddy’s account is nowhere to be found. It appears as if Germany’s early exit from the World Cup officially broke Freddy.

Statistics would seem to be able to demonstrate that one game of soccer can’t in any way prove superiority of one team over the other to any degree of certainty.
As a Dallas Cowboys fan, I know how he feels.................
Actually he just recently deleted his account after announcing he would in the states until July 23 and asked people for ideas what to do....
Word is he didn’t like being branded an “influencer”. No one knows what the guy looks like as he put stupid emoji’s over his face when he posted pictures!!!
I believe you.
GO BIRDS!!!!🦅
Maybe that’s because only 19% of German households have air conditioning.
It looks like it had little to do with Germany losing rather the liberals and America haters were hating on him and he wanted to get back to the south:

Just wait until team America loses. No one will ever be interested in the 2026 Soccer Bowl championships.
If one loss kills your support you were not really a fan in the first place.
Now I maintain that adults should not be quite as invested as some of them seem to be in a children's game but if you are actually a fan of a team you stick by them. Even when they lose.
Can't blame him for wanting to chill now.
And in another detail in which kickball could learn a lesson from hockey - no Stanley Cup playoff games at any level are ever decided by a shoot out, And that’s even though shootouts in hockey are way less random than those in soccer.
Freddy has been invited to the White House.
If he goes, President Trump is most likely going to insist on having his picture taken with Freddy, and a disguise Face Emoji is not going to be good enough for The Donald.
Same could be said for March Madness. Gonzaga made it to the final game in 2017 and 2021, but came up short. Covid stole our natty in 2020, we were on a roll heading into the Dance.
I think today France showed they are head and shoulders above everybody else.
💯
They haven’t surrendered yet?
BassetBall does nothing for me.
My kids played soccer in no shortage [I even coached for a season for the middle kid.].
It’s great for American kids to get and stay in shape while learning no shortage of things about sports/competition/team play.
Isn’t there American shampoo to fix that?
hOW MANY mUZZIES ARE ON THE TEAM?

Mbappe is actually a Christian.
