The truck will offer 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8s and is expected to go on sale at the end of the year
Chevrolet is giving its Silverado pickup a major update with new V8 engines, a redesigned exterior and more technology inside the cabin.
The automaker on Tuesday introduced the next-generation 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, calling it the "most powerful Silverado ever" and marking one of the pickup’s biggest updates in years.
The truck is expected to go on sale at the end of the year, with pricing to be announced later, according to the company.
"Silverado has earned truck customers’ trust over decades of hard work in the real world," Scott Bell, vice president of Global Chevrolet, said in a statement. "With the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, we’re taking that legacy forward by building the most capable, refined and advanced Silverado lineup we’ve ever offered."

I don’t care if they install 5000 hp engines that run on hopes and dreams, if it has the new surveillance technology I’ve been reading about it’s a big NO.
I care that they add a bunch of crap 70% of truck drivers (people that use it for truck stuff) don’t use and charge you over $100K for the truck.
“Chevrolet unveils ‘most powerful Silverado ever’ with new V8 engines, high-tech cabin.”
And a 30 speed automatic transmission. Just more crap that will malfunction.
I drive a 3/4 diesel and can’t go to the nearest large town (which I don’t unless emergency) because all parking spots are now painted for small cars and garages have low clearances, so no place to park. It’s by design.
Is it still Government Motors ? LOL
I’ll keep my ‘05 F350 turbo-diesel (harley package) which is 100% paid for..
As far as I’m concerned, these new vehicles are nothing more than a computer with wheels attached. Too many gizmos and gadgets that can, and will, go bad and they ain’t cheap to fix.
Agree.
It’s not for guys who actually use trucks, it’s a selling point for women who drive trucks to impress other women.........
Now it UNION MOTORS.............
Will they ever fix the disaster of Dynamic Fuel Management on their 5.3 and 6.2 liter engines?
Jeez guys take the win. GM reversing course and offering a big beautiful V-8 is a big step forward amid the idiotic EV push we have endured in recent years. If Trump had not won this would have happened
Meanwhile, my 2008 Ford Ranger will still be running after this Silverado breaks down.
Beautiful truck but I’d rather buy a small house or some acreage with the $100,000+ price tags. The truck will be constantly breaking down, rusting, and worth about $10K in a few years. The house and land could double in price in some places in the USA in the same time.
Lots of vids on Youtube showing all the poor young saps who bought one and are now paying $1,200+ a month payments at high interest rates - for 10 year loans. Crazy, suicidal. They’ve instantly destroyed their financial futures with that one stupid purchase.
Plus Chevys suck. There’s a reason the Ford F150 is the best selling truck since the Reagan administration. And it didn’t help that GM took that massive, unnecessary bailout back in ‘08. Basstardis.
Great for those who have $85k for a truck.
Or those willing to pay $1500 a month for 8 years.
Those were the days, FRiend, not to be seen ever again...
A 350 or even 400cid V8 in a pickup is hardly unprecedented.
The thing’s as ugly as a cat turd crossed with a potato bug.
These new vehicles, all mfrs, with all digital display touch screens, are failing and people get left stranded or can’t see their speed or anything........
