Key Takeaways
North Carolina attracted more domestic movers than any other state in 2025, gaining 84,100 residents from elsewhere in the U.S.
California (-229,100) and New York (-137,600) remained the nation’s largest sources of domestic outmigration.
While Sun Belt states still dominated migration gains, several Midwestern states posted positive inflows as affordability pressures spread across previously hot markets.
I brought my conservative votes and cash to Florida, from MN. six years ago. One of the best decisions of my life.
This is the most depressing story I’ve read in decades.
This is precisely why we should NOT move any federal departments and agencies out DC. Keep the liberal rot in one contained place and do not spread it. Anyone that thinks moving a federal agency to a conservative place will reform or change it is fooling themselves.
229K out of 39 million, 0.58%. Which means it (negative migration from California), statistically speaking, doesn’t exist.
God Bless You! :)
WOW! Great to see that.
If we can shut off the food supplies to all Blue States from the Red States, we can REALLY get people moving, LOL!
God Bless You!
In the past 4 years I and a few other members of my family & extended family have moved from west central FL to the mountains of NC & north GA. We’ve all had it with the crowding, the traffic, the humid heat and the %#*! palmetto bugs in the sunshine state.

She said, “Sonny, move out to the country”
Ah but workin’ too hard can give you a heart attack

Who needs a house out in Hackensack?
Is that all you get for your money?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please don’t say that, we have to warn the northerners how bad Florida really is.
They need to hear about the huge gators and giant pythons eating golfers and people’s pets. The mosquitoes as big as dive bombers that suck every drop of blood out you until only air comes out.
Don’t forget the schools of man-eating tiger sharks that patrol the shoreline when we’re not suffering a toxic red tide with rotting dead fish collecting on the shore.
And in the fresh water there’s the flesh eating amoeba. The ubiquitous water moccasins and gators don’t seem to be affected by the microbes.
Then there are the nests of fire ants that can sting through Kevlar pants if you still have legs after the amoebas. And if that’s not bad enough the only way to control the cockroaches is with a 357 magnum. Just be careful not to open fire on a VW Beetle mistaking it for a roach.
And then there is the weather. The endless hot, humid, sweltering days and the weekly cat 5 hurricanes accompanied by power outages, massive property damage and wide spread looting. And that describing a good year.
Like locusts, libtards move away from the barren wastelands they create and move to next state they’re going to lay to waste.
You made me LOL! So funny but true. FL was on my short list for retirement, but the statewide mass evacuations for a hurricane, the mosquitos and other insects, the alligators, the humidity... yeah, not for me.
Which is worse..our internal or external immigration?
They do elect some pukes there.
“Well, for sure don’t come to Tennessee. It stinks here.”
I lived in Colorado 79-81, that’s when the California invasion started. The once beautiful state of Colorado is a craphole now.
More than likely.
We lived in Eastern NC for a few years. Raleigh Durham area.
It’s Eastern or Northen leftist in the big cities.
3rd on the list. Stupid people.
😁
We definitely are FULL!
I totally understand your post. There’s a reason I live where I do, and traffic is one of those reasons. I don’t think I can get used to it. It used to be left for bigger cities like Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta. Now, it seems like it’s everywhere.
