The haters will be a hating on the Trumpster no matter. Quit the jab soon as I retired and have not had any complications since where before I was sick as a dog for at least a week after taking that shit because it was command directed. It has been 16 years of bliss since the last one.
The useless article does not state how many had the flu last year, so far all we know this is common. This could even be a low year. If I were a journalist I might even look into it

And now that 160 will not get that flew again. But what we don’t know is if that strain of flu was even in the shot.
Lackland AFB, has around 24,702 active-duty members - 160 is approximately 0.65% of 24,702.
This year’s flu vaccines were about 25% to 30% effective in preventing adults from getting sick enough to need a doctor’s office, clinic, or hospital visit, and around 40% effective for children.
So, less of them got the Flu than the average of those who take the vaccine - 2.17% of them caught the Flu when, considering the efficacy one would expect up to 17,290 (70% of the 24,702 active duty) getting the Flu.
Never had a flu shot and never had the flu. Fear porn.

Good question. The NYT is NOT going to tell you THAT, are they.
That is my observation as well. I retired before Covid. Back then, nobody took off for a case of the sniffles. If you felt like crap, sure. But even then, most people were back in the office overnight or a day later.
No. 160 personnel on a single air base got the flu. Is it bad? No. They should be able to weather it just fine. The bigger question is, of the 160 who did get the flu, how many also got the flu shot?
Flu vaccines are only 30-50% effective per the CDC. So even if everyone one of those had been vaccinated, there would be at least 80 instead of 160 best case. These are otherwise young, health recruits that will be just fine with a day or two of taking it easy.
I got the shingles vaccine through the VA. That stuff is really bad news if you get it.
160 SMs actually got the flu? Or they caught flu-like symptoms that are just lumped into the flu numbers?

The question is now how many of the flu vaxxed will develope TURBO CANCER in the next few years?
