Backlash ensues over order to remove pride flags in Northport park

"They were putting the pride banners above my veterans, and that does not work, sorry," said American Legion Commander William McKenna during a phone interview with Eyewitness News.

McKenna said that they have had calls and people showing up to express their concerns about the Pride flag hanging above the Hometown Heroes veterans' banners.

"If you put a pride flag by one of my veterans, I'm taking every one of them down," McKenna said.

"People started complaining about the flag being on the same pole above a veteran's banner," said Jeff Cusick, the treasurer of Northport Pride Fest.

If they are so proud why did they change the name from gay to pride ?

They’re trying to find a suitable name they won’t eventually want to run away from to hide their identity.

Even the CDC went to called them “Men who have Sex with Men” but still use the word “lesbian” in some places. Weird.

The fruits don't seem to understand the difference between being welcome and included and being tolerated. And they are only being tolerated for now. We all know you exist. Just keep it up with those flags and messing with children.
