Problem:if you defend yourself and survive, then Law Enforcement will put you in a cell with animals similar to the ones who attacked you.
It’s Texas and I strongly suspect any attempt at rioting would be met with overwhelming force.
They believe they should be able to take everything you have if they want to. They they should be able to kill you and your family if they want to. They believe there should be no consequences for such actions. After murdering you, if I understood them right a couple of days ago, they then want to dig up your dead body, shoot, stab, and otherwise "kill" it again.
They can't be reasoned with because they have no reason. They can't have a logical discussion because they have no logic.
Stop trying to understand or be empathetic or compromise, because you will receive none of those things as these people do not possess them.
Protect yourself from them, protect your family from them, defend your country from them and support any means necessary to drive these people out of our society. Any other questions?

The founders were lazy and should have picked their own cotton.
This country was a group of English colonies first. Slavery was a very big business for England and for the African merchants in Africa who captured and sold their fellow Africans.
Sounds like you maybe expect the colonists, mostly farmers and townspeople who had just fought a revolution with pitchforks and muskets for EIGHT YEARS, to have carried out a massive deportation. Any big funding they had access to was from exports to England, which was now their former and future enemy (War of 1812 on the horizon). The Constitution wasn't even signed until near the end of 1787. If new legislation took a long time, remember there were no telephones or internet, and legislators had to ride several days on horseback to get to the sessions.
The best the weak new U.S. could do was outlaw any more shipping of slaves (1794) or importation of slaves (1807), but parts of the Democrat South disobeyed. Eventually Lincoln tried to export slaves to Liberia, then declared them free; but of course the Democrats fought him bitterly, waged a war over it, and then one of them assassinated him.
Things don't always go the way of common sense.
