Trump says Iran’s leader has agreed to a peace plan — and Islamic Republic will not have a nuclear weapon

President Trump said the supreme leader of Iran Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has agreed to the peace deal, including its provision that Tehran cannot have a nuclear weapon.

“They will not have a nuclear weapon, they’ve agreed to that,” he said. “They will not only not have, they will not purchase, develop in any way, any shape, in any way, shape, or form a nuclear weapon. They will not have a nuclear weapon.”

The president has been adamant that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, leaving it as a make or break condition in the talks. Tehran had pushed back, claiming their nuclear program was for energy purposes but Trump has been insistent it must end.

There have been several starts and stops on the road to a deal but Trump expressed confidence Iran would sign on because “they got hit very hard.”

They want to sign it as much as I do, or more, I would say they want to sign it more, maybe a lot more,” he noted.

The president announced the deal earlier Thursday in a post on social media, saying he was canceling an attack he had planned for later in the day on Iran.

BTW, I don’t expect Iran to hold to any agreement.
It’s not in their blood.

If/when they attack again, we need to wipe them off of the map.

But will the uranium still be in Iran? Yes they can get at it. It cannot be buried so deep that they cannot dig it our. Consider the deep tunnels and whole roads and big chambers they have built in the past. They can do it again.

Big Mo also NOT providing Proof of Life for his “leadership position” represented by lunatics of the IRGC. We shall soon see another round of circular illogic of crazed thugs.

Fine tuned surgical reduction of the capability of allowing a complete change of government. IRGC will have to be fully reduced to nothing, no leaders and thus no one to “sign” off except for all the other countries as part of the Abraham Accords.. a true major victory policed by Iran’s neighbors.

President Trump said the supreme leader of Iran Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has agreed to the peace deal, including its provision that Tehran cannot have a nuclear weapon.

They've agreed to that provision before - to Obama, to Trump I, to Biden. What's different this time?

I recall another Kissinger deal with North Vietnam. How'd that work out?

Yep. First World countries generally believe in honoring commitments. One’s word is one’s bond.

But that’s certainly not so in Second and Third World countries. It’s all about maneuvering for advantage there. If there is no robust enforcement mechanism in place, their promises will mean nothing.

True in business. True in politics.

Israel was BEGGING Trump to go back and finish the job. Did you know that Israel knew the locations of all the Iranian regime and they could have killed all of them but Trump told them to keep some of them alive, for what I have absolutely NO idea

I totally believe it. Some Sunday morning, President Trump will be out on the greens in West Palm Beach when he gets news of a nuke going off in Tel Aviv.

Hmmm...
Peace plan???

Better to offer a piece plan...

Every piece of enhanced uranium for any semblance of a peace plan...

No deal until they turn over all their military assets...

He met with the American negotiators after convincing an American man to pay cash for his lawn car, a low mileage Iran Khodro ایران خودرو which was only driven to an from the Mosque by his elderly grandmother.

True story: In the City of Detroit in the 1960s there was a large used car place that had brightly painted wide red line on the concrete at the exit.
That line was the end of the warranty coverage for any car on the lot someone bought.
