Trump calls on Republicans to pass third reconciliation bill that includes Save America Act

President Trump on Wednesday endorsed a third $350 billion reconciliation bill, urging Congress to “IMMEDIATELY” pass it with the Save America Act included.

“I am hereby calling on Republicans in Congress to IMMEDIATELY advance and pass the forthcoming $350 Billion Reconciliation Bill (Recon 3.0) — which, at the request of our Great Department of War — will include THE SAVE AMERICA ACT as well,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

“No games, no delays, and no weak compromises! Do this ASAP,” he added.

His comments come a day after Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Senate Appropriations Defense Subcommittee Chair Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) cast doubt on a third reconciliation package.

Collins said a third bill was a “terrible risk” and is likely to create funding “instability” for defense efforts.

Still, Trump said the measure is critical and suggested it was the “ONLY path to the full $1.5 TRILLION DOLLAR Military Budget our Warriors need in order to build THE ARSENAL OF FREEDOM.”

Trump said funds would go toward developing the Golden Dome, manufacturing F-47s and B-21s to “supercharge our ammunition stockpiles.”

His message comes after a recent analysis found it would take years to replenish advanced weapons used by the U.S. during the Iran war.

The president also urged lawmakers to include the controversial Save America Act, which has struggled to pass in the Senate.

The U.S. does not need a $1.5T defense budget.

Wars tend to be expensive...

And need to be paid for. That’s the inconvenient bit.

Any plans to tax citizens?

include the controversial Save America Act

There's nothing controversial about it, the rats, and a few pubs, just like to steal elections.

McConnell is already out and Susan Collins will also be out, if she doesn’t get behind this package.

The stockpiles were diminished by both Barry and Joe. Ukraine used a big part of that.

And the parliamentarian will rule it out even if Thune pushes it through.

I’m not defending Thune, just reading reality for what it is.

Thune needs to fire Harry Reid’s parliamentarian - then we can have the discussion.

The pubs you’re talking about don’t steal elections. They line up for the table scraps when the Dems are in control. They get taken care of, so they don’t care who’s in power.

No - the plan is to kick out as many people committing welfare, social security, election, and every other kind of fraud costing the taxpayer and that pays for the war without increasing taxes. Trump just got $70B for immigration and border enforcement through the end of his term. Estimates are that the AVERAGE illegal is costing us $70k per year. $70B/$70kperyear/2.5years = 400,000 illegals.

So once we hit 400,000 illegals (we’re past that, by the way) every additional illegal removed puts $70,000/year back into the budget.

It’s REALLY not rocket science.

Fair enough. But I also guarantee they are NOT stealing elections from Democrats - because we’d hear about it.

That’s really what I was thinking - but you are right - after all, Murkowski has stolen more than one primary.

“ And the parliamentarian will rule it out even if Thune pushes it through.”

This is why I think Trump needs to take out the parts about men in women’s sports and so-called trans people. These issues can be taken care of some other way. Until we have fair and secure elections, we risk losing our entire constitutional republic.

If I thought those were the reasons it wasn’t getting through I’d agree with you.

Even on principle, I believe that bills should be clean - if you want to fix elections then the bill should only focus on elections.

But I think it’s important to make clear that I don’t believe for one minute if you remove the things you say we would be one step closer to passage in the Senate.

For one, it’s either standing filibuster or reconciliation because you’re not even going to get ONE more vote removing those items, much less get to 60. And the current parliamentarian will rule it out even if you pass it - which Thune won’t - and won’t fire the parliamentarian. So, yeah, legislation principles are nice to talk about - but the provisions related to gender issues are *NOT* what is preventing passage.

But will Susie Collins (R-Maine), Mitch “The Turtle” McConnell, and missing in action John Thune support this? And what about Lisa MurKOWski?

So, what’s your credentials to allow you to make that statement?
Have you any idea of what Obama and Biden did to the military - it’s amazing that Trump and Hegseth are whipping them into such good shape - but it takes money to defend against an ever increasing hostile world.
