I had an old boss that used to have a small plane. Then he had health problems and had to give it up. 20 years later he was well enough to fly again. He went down to get brought up to date with things.
“In 1963 the manual was an inch thick and there were three flights zones. They wanted me to go through two manuals, each about 4 inches thick. And dozens and dozens of flight zones.”
I’d give him a call in the evening some times. “Hold on, let me pause this. I’m redoing my trip from 1978 where I flew from Seattle to Astoria, then along the Columbia River up to.... Except this time I flew UNDER the Astoria bridge!” (Microsoft Flight)
He really did get a kick out of that, he had an amazing memory. Hopefully you’ll get back on the horse again.
