PLANO, Texas - Another major business is moving to Plano. Samsung is relocating its headquarters from the northwest to North Texas.
What we know: Samsung’s decision to move to Plano comes less than a year after celebrating the grand opening of its United States headquarters in New Jersey.
But now, the South Korean company has said it wants to condense its U.S. operation to Texas.
The company’s U.S. semiconductor investments are concentrated in the Austin area, which is why it wants to move its headquarters to Plano.
Samsung said the move will help streamline decision-making.
Dig deeper: According to early reports, the company plans to bring about 1,000 employees to North Texas.
While it’s not yet clear where the new facility will be located, Samsung said it hopes to open it by the end of this year.

Yay, more Hindus and Muslims.
What we know: Samsung’s decision to move to Plano comes less than a year after celebrating the grand opening of its United States headquarters in New Jersey. I think I’d rather live in TX than NJ.
Yep more goobers.
That’s the thing. We act like a company moving from a blue state to a red state is a net win for us. But that company likely supports faux black appreciation month, fag celebration month, plus many more liberals moving to a red state. It’s a huge net loss long term for conservatives.
No company should have moved to MafiaState (New Jersey).
I had my own run-in with an establishment there that only took cash. Bizarre.
I bet 1970 Plano wasn’t predicting this.
What about 1990 Frisco?
moving from the northwest
New Jersey moved to Portland?
Ya. Foreign takeover of one of our most important red states.
So New Jersey is in the Pacific Northwest now? Or is the reporter just an idiot?
NEW JERSEY???
NORTH WEST???
I SURE AM GLAD I WENT TO A ONE ROOM GRADE SCHOOL
In NJ:
“(If you try to sit) I’ll tax your seat
(If you get too cold) I’ll tax the heat
(If you take a walk) I’ll tax your feet”
It is no wonder that leaving NJ is financially beneficial. NJ is following the CA government financial plan. My USCG son was TDY there for a few weeks. He said many of the folks he met who live there are planning their escape ASAP.
That sounds like some of the Italian Restaurants in the North End of Boston. CASH ONLY.
They have a sign on the door.
ATM around the corner.
What we know...Samsung wasted millions on New Jersey and is correcting that mistake.
“Or is the reporter just an idiot?”
Is this a trick question ?
I thought all reporters(journalists)were idiots.
I got the 3rd degree from them.
I finished up and left. A coworker later told me they keep a couple guns right behind the counter I was at.
Not cool.

Samsung can read the writing on the wall.
“Gov. Sherrill has signaled the need and want to improve our business climate, to reduce costs, red tape and other permitting and regulatory burdens,” she said. “We believe there is a reason to be optimistic.”
Does that include fomenting riots in Newark? That should attract businesses.
