U.S. Bases in Israel Will Deter the Next October 7
Times of Israel ^ | Mar 2026 | Jose Lev Alvarez Gomez

Posted on 06/01/2026 9:33:15 PM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

The State of Israel has proposed that the United States plant permanent military bases on its territory. Jerusalem wants Washington to relocate existing installations from elsewhere in the Middle East...

Establishing those bases, especially in southern Israel along the Gaza border, could potentially deliver the ironclad deterrence that has already raised the cost of mass attacks...

Critics call it entanglement. The facts say otherwise.

October 7 proved that distance breeds weakness. Iran’s war exposed scattered Gulf bases as sitting ducks. Southern Israel offers proximity, partnership, and punch.

The United States already has a military footprint in Israel, and CENTCOM personnel were deployed to help monitor the Gaza ceasefire...

If Washington accepts the offer, it will redraw the map of deterrence...

Posted a similar article last week.

Rather than entanglement, a permanent U.S. presence could serve as strategic peacekeeping.

By preventing October 7th style attacks, it could act as deterrent, and restrain the worst excesses on ALL sides of the conflict, including from Israel.

Just, no! Permanent targets. As soon as Hamas has rearmed, they will again chunk missiles at Israel. It is what they do.

The Marine barracks in Beirut was an undeniable deterrent to Hezbollah.

And who can forget the deterrent of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia?

Neocons can forget, that's who.

Also, a military base ‘over thar” will have nothing to do with my interest in killing over thisaway. This is BShitte reasoning.

The Oct7 raid was a success ‘cause the hamas savages and citizens of Gaza knew the victims would be unarmed — by Israeli rules on weapons.
Allof Israel should be like Switzerland — every adult trained with a weapon and a weapon in every house. If you are afraid of guns go live and visit somewhere else.

A competent government and military leadership would have prevented the “first” October 7th, let alone the next one.

What the author is saying is that a U.S. military presence is needed because Israel is unwilling or unable to defend its own borders. No, thanks.

Rather than geographically positioning ourselves at a place that in all probability invites nuclear attack, I suggest we offer passports to every Israeli citizen who agrees to renounce their Israeli citizenship and move to the United States. At that time, we should withdraw all support for Israel.

We end a friction point of conflict without offering ourselves as target for nuclear exchange, and do so free of any taint of anti-Semitism.

Everybody wins.

No. No. No. Israel is more than capable of defending itself from degenerate, inbred, retard Musloids who can't even manufacture a freakin' pencil.

What happened on Oct 7, 2024 was either a massive intelligence failure on its part or a deliberate failure by nefarious actors in its government.

Not our circus.

Time to confront the reality......in the US, support for Israel has hit record lows.

Pollsters have even stopped publishing poll results, no doubt at the behest
of Israel, flinging around the worn-out, overused, anti-semitism label.

For a president elected on “America First,” the potential impact on mid-terms is enormous.

The polls reflect an accelerating, built-in trend of eroding support, in the wake
of Israel waging endless wars with free gifts of tax-financed US weapons.

The data clearly demonstrates that negative views
on Israel have become majority sentiment in the US.

Israel could have easily prevented 10/7 without US assistance.

It chose not to do that.

Why?

THIS JUST IN

As of January 2026, the US finalized $6.67 billion tax
dollars in arms for Israel to enhance defense capabilities:
<><>new gifts of Apache helicopters,
<><>gifts of armored vehicles,
<><>and US tax-dollar for vehicle power packs

This builds on significant ongoing, long-term US tax dollar military assistance
and “emergency” US tax dollars for killings in Gaza and Israel’s need for “security.”

Key Components of Recent 2026 “US taxpayer gifts” to Israel:
<><>$3.8 billion tax dollars for 30 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters
<><>and related arms equipment.
<><>$1.98 billion US tax dollars for Joint Light Tactical Assault Vehicles (JLTAVs).
<><>$740 million tax dollars for Namer armored personnel carrier power packs.
<><>tax-dollar subsidized utility helicopters
<><>plus unnamed other US tax-subsidized equipment.

Congress earlier approved over $14 billion in tax
dollars for defense, replenishment of systems, and other Israeli “security” needs.
<><>a 10-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
<><>covers $38B US tax dollars in military aid 2019–2028
<><>$33B tax dollars in weaponry “gifts”
<><>$5 billion tax dollars in missile defense gifts.
<><>including precision-guided munitions and bunker busters.

The weapons “gifts” are “to improve” Israel’s capacity to defend its borders and its population against current and future threats, amid high tensions with Iran and Israel’s continued bombardment of Lebanon.

Interestingly enough, when we put these bases in Israel, I envision armed camps or outposts, these are not a base with housing, dependents, infrastructure... It’s nothing like that. Israel is a warzone.

“ Everybody wins.”

Except the Israelis. They’re abandoned while completely surrounded by a bunch of 7th century barbarians who are commanded by that filthy pedophile they worship to murder every Jew on the planet.

And you would have us be complicit in that.

But let us suppose your fever dream comes to pass. We leave Israel alone to face unrelenting attacks by barbarians. At some point Israel chooses the Samson Option and the ME goes up in balls of nuclear fire.

Hard pass.

Israel keeps bombing the bejeezus out of Lebanon citing its plans to "annihilate" the Arabs there.
Yet, Christians make up fully about a third of Lebanon’s population of some 5.5 million people.

Christianity in Lebanon is as old as the Christian faith itself.

Lebanon is home to the largest numbers of Christians of any nation in the Arab world.

Shrine to "Our Lady of Lebanon."
