Democrats are building a foundation for the obliteration of the Second Amendment.
In the Heller and Bruen decisions, the Supreme Court ruled the Second Amendment acknowledges, but does not create, a fundamental, unalienable, individual right. Unalienable rights are bestowed by God; government cannot give or take them. The Court also ruled Americans may carry guns—mostly concealed handguns--wherever they go, with some exceptions such as courtrooms, jails, law enforcement facilities, and other “sensitive” areas. An equally important ruling was that guns in common use are presumptively constitutional.
Those decisions made Democrat heads explode and contributed mightily to their cries of Supreme Court illegitimacy. How dare those unelected judges uphold the Constitution! That translates into English as: how dare they rule against Democrat preferences! So, blue states and cities have enacted a variety of blatantly unconstitutional laws, virtually all of which have been immediately challenged in courts by pro-liberty/gun individuals and organizations.
Those anti-liberty/gun cracktivists are more than willing to spend untold millions of taxpayer dollars to defend laws they know are unconstitutional. They know they’re almost certain to lose, but they don’t care. While the cases wind their way through the courts, they get to virtue signal, damage the business of gun sellers, and even put some honest Americans in jail for daring to exercise their Second Amendment rights. They’re spending other people’s money and harming the people they hate, so there’s no downside for them.
Arguably, the most egregious and prima facie unconstitutional anti-gun law is Maryland’s ban on the most popular and common handgun line: Glocks.

We are seeing open defiance of the Supreme Court ruling, similar to the open defiance of desegregation rulings in the 1950’s in Southern states.
There are about a dozen states which are defying the Supreme Court. The Second Amendment section of the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice is starting to confront these states with lawsuits.

Does similar guns include all striker fire pistols?
It sounds like it includes semi auto handguns that could be modified with a switch, like a Glock Switch, to convert it to fire fully automatic. I don't know how a Glock Switch works so I also don't know which other brands of handgun could be affected.
My glue-gun looks like it might fit into the Glock category.

SCOTUS issued all sorts of rules but no blue state complies. Sure not here in CaCaLand.
Until someone enforces SCOTUS rulings nothing will change.
This will take red state or Fed action. Such has to go after the people not complying and/or signing off on laws/regs that violate SCOTUS rulings. The people. Not “we have a process!”. No, it was a person who signed off — put them in jail.
If the right to bear arms can be infringed, then Trump can be Prez for a third term.
I have heard that a switch can be machined for any striker fire pistol just like with Glock.
The right to protect yourself with a weapon is an inalienable right.
The police need to be reminded from time to time that they are outgunned so when they try to enforce these things.
By creating sanctuary states and cities, liberals have rejected the authority of the Federal government. They are picking and choosing what to submit to.
What we’re seeing now is the rejection of the Supreme Court rulings. They are passing laws they know are unconstitutional. It is a “cold” revolution.
