Thune spoke directly with Paxton following Tuesday's runoff victory, marking the first reported contact between the two men since the bitter primary contest ended.

A person familiar with the conversation described the call as PRODUCTIVE.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, told reporters she was "supremely disappointed" by Trump's endorsement of Paxton over Cornyn.

Thune is intentionally keeping Senate in session to prevent recess appointments.

Thune is a RINO.
Thune is a treasonous snake.
Thune is a traitor.

A list of her disappointments would be revealing.

That wasted yet destructive $100 million is mind blowing but I’m hoping that these Cornyn and Thune statements mean at least that they won’t work against Paxton’s campaign.

Cruz would be very effective as majority leader, a few years ago he formed and was running a conservative congressional group, which seems pretty creative and activist.

A quick aside: I find it interesting that “all in” and “all out” pretty much mean the same thing ...

Everyone screams for terms....Coryn's time was up. Thune is entitled to his opinion.

And if there was so much support for Coryn...why did he lose....and lose royally.

I personally think Paxton is creepy and a crook. But I am forced to vote for him, because the other side is a commie.

“Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, told reporters she was “supremely disappointed”

There was a late night vote last year, I think it might have been approving one of Trump’s more “controversial” appointments. I was watching online and all the senators were milling about chatting waiting for the vote. Collins and Murkowski were conspicuously separated from everyone else, standing together. When Cornyn entered the chamber he immediately joined the two losers. I thought it was quite telling.

I think it is. Sure caused Thune to pull his head out of the sand. Maybe he'll end the
filibuster and pass the SAVE America Act now.

If Murkowski is disappointed, it must mean Trump made the right decision.

Even with a supportive sounding statement like that one, I still do not trust “Stretch” Thune to really want Paxton to win.

Anyway, last Thurs. or Fri., I recall reading “Majority Leader John Thune abruptly adjourned the Senate for a weeklong Memorial Day break. Both the House and Senate are out of session and will return to Washington D.C. the week of June 1st.”

So, Thune doesn’t seem to mind wasting the time of, and under-utilizing the Senate once in a while.

I suspect Thune won’t monkey with the filibuster because he knows he doesn’t even have 50 votes to pass the SAVE Act.

Wow, the Republican leader supporting the Republican candidate.

That's more than Joe Miller got in Alaska.

SHE should be dis appointed, from her current position.

She is up in 2028. Her only opponet so far is a guy who live in Jacksonville Florida.

James Michael Ryan • 26 August 2025: Filed for the election in 2028. Lives in JACKSONVILLE, FL. • FEC S8AK00173

Filed with FEC in 2025, but has not reported any money spent or rasied.

Any Senate Republican spending on primaries is inherently wrong.

It should only help in General Elections,

I poop can every one of their emails and texts.
